Q&A Webinar for Vaya Health Network Providers Tomorrow, Feb. 18, 2022, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Our Provider Q&A Webinars are an important source of the most up-to-date information on topics that affect Vaya network providers. The first 45 minutes of the webinar will focus on information for all Vaya providers. Information and questions specific to transitioning Cardinal providers will be addressed during the last 15 minutes of the webinar. All network providers are encouraged to attend. Registration is not required. The link to each webinar is published both the week prior to and the week of the event in Vaya’s weekly Provider Communication Bulletin.

Q&A WEBINAR FOR VAYA NETWORK PROVIDERS – FEB. 18, 2022

AlphaMCS Transition Date Announced As announced in the Vaya Health Provider Communication Bulletin 2021-22 Issue 41, published Jan. 25, 2022, Vaya will transition from a hosted version of AlphaMCS to an in-house version in late February as Wellsky ends support for the AlphaMCS product. This change will take effect on Feb. 28, 2022. Vaya will utilize the in-house version until we move to a new claims processing application, Conduent HSP, expected later this year. The in-house AlphaMCS environment will be an exact duplicate of the current system. All data in the hosted version will remain available in the new system. Providers will access the new environment using the following URL: https://alphamcs.vayahealth.com/portallogin. The new URL will not be active until Monday, Feb. 28, 2022. Portal user IDs and passwords in use at the time of the transition to the in-house AlphaMCS system

OFFICE HOURS: ALPHAMCS TRANSITION – MARCH 2, 2022

RFA: Building Capacity for Home and Community-Based Services through Collective Impact Cares at the UNC School of Social Work has been contracted by the NC Money Follows the Person (MFP) program to oversee a new initiative, “Building Capacity for Home and Community-Based Services through Collective Impact.” The initiative, funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), aims to address areas of concern in building communities that are inclusive of people with I/DD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and/or physical disabilities, as well as older adults with support needs. Cares is requesting applications for a four-year project (plus an optional fifth-year renewal) in the following focus areas: affordable accessible housing, transportation, direct support workers, and natural supports. Up to four organizations will receive grant funding to develop and implement initiatives using the collective impact framework. Awarded funds will not exceed $150,000 per grantee per contract year. Applications are due by 5 p.m. March 23, 2022. More information and application materials are available on the UNC Cares website.

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES NCDHHS and HBCUs Mental Health Summit: Peeling Back the Layers on Minority Behavioral Health Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, 12-3 p.m. NCDHHS is partnering with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to assess the mental health needs of minority students on campus and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tailored Care Management: Providing Whole-Person Care for Individuals with TBI and their Families Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, 10 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Greensboro AHEC, in partnership with North Carolina AHEC and NCDHHS, will present a live webinar to provide an overview of key TBI-related concepts, including diagnostic criteria, clinical presentations and treatments, impact on community living and health, and impact on caregivers and family. Discussion will touch on clinical and behavioral health strategies, community supports and services, and opportunities for interagency collaboration. The webinar will also explore the psychosocial and cultural aspects of the TBI experience, with a focus on helping participants provide evidence-based, holistic care and community supports for members with TBI and their families.
