Essential Industry Employer Guidance for Vaccinating North

Carolinians As shared in the Feb. 4 N.C. DHHS COVID-19 Provider call, ICF-IID and Group Home vaccinations among DSPs are low with only a 30 – 60 percent participation rate. Also, IDD provider agencies are running into issues with parents refusing to allow DSPs into the home to provide services unless the DSPs have been vaccinated. N.C. DHHS has released a guidance document for employers of frontline essential workers to help them encourage their staff to be vaccinated and explain the importance of protecting the health of the people they serve, as well as their own.
