Beginning Monday, April 12, 2021, visit www.vayahealth.com/cnas , then select the survey option that best describes you: Vaya Members and Family Members Community Stakeholders and Vaya Network Providers Vaya requests that network providers and community stakeholders post and share the survey flyer to increase the number of survey participants and help us better understand the needs of local communities. Payroll Protection Program Extension Act Signed into Law Small businesses will have more time to apply for a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan. The new deadline is May 31, 2021, and the Small Business Administration (SBA) will have until June 30, 2021, to process pending applications. If you are newly eligible or have not previously applied, more information is available on the U.S. Small Business Administration website .

AMH+/CMA Learning Community April 29, 2021, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Vaya is developing an ongoing learning community for network providers interested in or actively pursuing Advanced Medical Home+ (AMH+)/Care Management Agency (CMA) certification. Our new Learning Community will provide helpful information, important updates, training, collaboration and support as we move toward implementation of the Behavioral Health and I/DD Tailored Plan. The Learning Community will meet virtually on the last Thursday of each month. The kickoff meeting will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you are interested in participating in the Learning Community, please register for the April 29 meeting here. If you have not completed the AMH+/CMA Interest Survey for Vaya Network Providers , please do so here. The survey only takes a few minutes and will help us schedule Learning Community topics that will best assist our providers.

WNC COVID-19 Regional Report Vaya is proud to be a key partner in the monthly WNC COVID-19 Regional Report from the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in conjunction with nine other WNC health and social services organizations. Together, we’re committed to providing WNC’s medical community with timely information on COVID-19 through weekly updates on regional trends, needs, resources and training opportunities. TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES Webinar: Antipsychotic-induced Movement Disorders May 5, 2021, 12 – 1 p.m. The Southern Regional AHEC, with support from Vaya, will host the webinar “Antipsychoticinduced movement disorders: A multidisciplinary approach to recognition, screening and management.” The webinar will cover four main antipsychotic-induced movement disorders dystonia, parkinsonism, akathisia and tardive dyskinesia – with a focus on symptom recognition, screening tools and management. NC HIEA and AHEC Virtual Training Opportunities The NC Health Information Exchange Authority (NC HIEA) and North Carolina Area Health


Education Centers (NC AHEC) are offering a library of virtual training modules for health care providers on NC HealthConnex services. NC HealthConnex facilitates conversations among providers by allowing them to access and share health-related information statewide. Providers may register for a series of seven video trainings, each of which provides an orientation to available features and services.
