Abbott BinaxNOW Rapid, Point-of-Care Antigen Testing Supplies Available DHHS is making available a supply of Abbott BinaxNOW rapid, point-of-care antigen testing supplies to support COVID-19 testing efforts. Facilities interested in receiving tests from the state must meet ALL of the following requirements: CLIA certificate: Obtain a CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) certificate or partner with an entity with a CLIA certificate. Physician order : Secure a signed physician order or elect to use the Statewide Order. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Maintain an adequate supply of PPE to perform tests. Medical waste : Adhere to standards to properly handle and dispose of medical waste . Training : Ensure all testing personnel have completed BinaxNOW or BD Veritor training. Reporting: Verify ability to complete DHHS reporting requirements. Reporting methods can be found at Getting Started with Automated Reporting . Quarantine and isolation support: Provide the necessary quarantine and isolation guidance for all individuals with suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 or who are close contacts of a COVID-19 case. Request process: All facilities that meet the above requirements may apply to request tests via the DHHS Antigen Test Request Form .
TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES Webinar: Why and How Peer Services Improve Health and Wellness of People with Mental Illness Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 2 – 3 p.m. Presented by the National Council for Behavioral Health in partnership with the PatientCentered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), this webinar will explore the benefits of peer support services, research findings on peer support services, practical guidelines on setting up peer support programs and how COVID-19 health challenges have affected peer support services among people with serious mental illness.
