COVID-19 Telehealth Program Funding: Round 2 Applications Accepted Starting Thursday The COVID-19 Telehealth Program provides federal funding to eligible health care providers responding to the COVID-19 pandemic to support the telecommunications services, information services and connected devices needed to provide critical connected care. The program – established in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act – initially provided $200 million to help provide telehealth and connected care services to patients at their homes or mobile locations. In December 2020, the Consolidated Appropriations Act provided an additional $249.95 million to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to fund a second round of the program. The FCC will accept Round 2 applications beginning Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 12 p.m. through Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 12 p.m. at www.fcc.gov/covid19telehealth. Round 1 applicants that were not funded will need to submit a new application. Eligible nonprofit and public health care providers must fall into one of eight categories: 1.
