PROVIDER TOUCHPOINT – JUNE 3, 2022
Retroactive Therapeutic Foster Care Rate Increase Vaya is pleased to announce an increase to our Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) rate. Effective retroactively to July 1, 2021, the standard rate for the S5145 code has increased from $97.22 to $175.00. The new rate is intended to help providers support current TFC families and to plan for expansion of TFC homes. If you plan to rebill previously paid claims at the new rate, please contact your designated Claims Specialist to coordinate voiding and replacing your claims and to avoid any timely filing denials. Vaya’s goal is to create an extensive TFC network that allows youth to remain in their home communities with TFC parents who are dedicated to the youth’s success and their transition back home. In the coming weeks, Vaya will be reaching out to contracted TFC providers to discuss these goals and to monitor the success of the new rates in meeting the following objectives: To improve the retention rate of current TFC families
To expand the number of TFC homes across the Vaya region To support youth being served in their local communities with their local support systems To improve the coordination of services by ensuring youth are connected with medical, dental, and behavioral health services To provide additional support and training to TFC families For additional information on the rate increase, email claims@vayahealth.com. To view Vaya’s standard rate schedules, please visit our Rate and Checkwrite Schedules webpage.
