JCB #J424: Extension of COVID-19 Flexibility for Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP) Take-Home Dosing Update NCDHHS Joint Communication Bulletin #J424 provides an update to Joint Communication Bulletin #J422 about the OTP take-home dosing COVID-19 flexibility extension based on the exemption from the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). With this exemption, NC Medicaid will allow for the following provision and billing for take-home doses provided by OTPs until Aug. 15, 2022: Stable patients in an OTP may receive 28 days of take-home doses of their medication for opioid use disorder. Patients who are less stable (but whom the OTP believes can safely handle this level of takehome medication) may receive up to 14 days of take-home medication. HELP US HELP YOU!
Provider Advisory Council Systemic Barriers Survey The Vaya Health Provider Advisory Council (PAC) is working to identify systemic barriers to providing quality services and to propose solutions to help providers and increase desired outcomes among members and recipients. We encourage all Vaya network providers to complete the PAC’s ongoing Systemic Barriers Survey . The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete. The PAC’s Barriers Subcommittee will meet as needed to review patterns of concerns and proposed solutions with Vaya leadership and subject matter experts. The status and results of this process will be a standing agenda item at monthly PAC meetings. Please note: To submit a provider-specific grievance or complaint, please contact the Grievance Resolution & Incidents Team at 1-800-893-6246, ext. 1600, or email ResolutionTeam@vayahealth.com.
