COVID-19 NEWS AND UPDATES New Process for COVID-19 Appendix K Retainer Payment Requests One temporary flexibility permitted by CMS under the N.C. DHHS Appendix K Emergency Preparedness and Response Waiver allows Vaya to provide retainer payments to Innovations Waiver service providers and Employers of Record (EORs) for their direct support professionals who normally provide habilitation and personal care services to a Vaya plan member. This request form has been updated to a fillable PDF format that can be signed electronically using Adobe Fill and Sign. For questions related to retainer payments, please email Retainer.Payments@vayahealth.com.

NC Medicaid Optional COVID-19 Testing Program Effective Sept. 1, 2020, NC Medicaid will begin reimbursing COVID-19 testing costs for uninsured individuals enrolled in the NC Medicaid Optional COVID-19 Testing (MCV) program. TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) – Suicide Prevention Web-Based Training Multiple dates through December 2020 Vaya's Provider and Community Education Team will offer free, web-based “Question, Persuade, Refer” (QPR) suicide prevention trainings through December 2020. Trainings will be offered on the second Tuesday (2:30 – 4:30 p.m.) and fourth Tuesday (9 – 11 a.m.) of each month. Each training is limited to 30 participants.
