Tomorrow: Q&A Webinar for Vaya Health Network Providers Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Q&A Webinars for Vaya Network Providers take place every two weeks. Registration is not required. There is no limit to the number of attendees who can join. All attendees will be muted throughout this live broadcast and will be able to submit questions for the presenters through the Q&A feature.

Additional Appendix K Information Vaya recently updated the COVID-19 Appendix K Reporting Form to include information about the use of home-delivered meals and the use of N.C. Innovations Waiver services outside of school hours. As noted in the Provider Communication Bulletin dated Aug. 17, 2020, providers must use the revised COVID-19 Appendix K Reporting Form (version 4.0) to request extension of Appendix K flexibilities beginning Aug. 17, 2020, through the end of the member’s plan year, or until March 12, 2021, whichever date is earlier. However, there are several flexibilities that require the form to be updated every 90 days. Those flexibilities include: Services being delivered by a RADSE Any continued flexibilities for training extensions Additionally, please remember that some flexibilities, as noted on the form, continue to require approval by Vaya’s IDD Utilization Management Clinical Director. If a flexibility is requested on an older version of the form, the form will be returned to the provider with instructions to resubmit the request using the newest version. Additional reminders: Innovations Waiver participants must transition to pre-emergency service status as soon as they are able.
Innovations service providers must submit a COVID-19 Appendix K Reporting Form to Vaya for each member who needs to utilize Appendix K flexibilities or exceptions due to COVID-19. Providers must submit the COVID-19 Appendix K Reporting Form via encrypted email to the member’s assigned care manager prior to implementing a new flexibility. If you cannot get in touch with the member’s assigned care manager, contact Vaya’s Member Services Department at 1-800-849-6127. When using an Appendix K flexibility, providers are required to bill using the CR modifier. Refer to the Vaya Health Billing and Documentation Guide for COVID-19 Telehealth and Clinical Policy Modifications for guidance on billing codes related to COVID-19 flexibilities.
