LME/MCO Joint Communication Bulletin #J431: Update to Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) – Tool for Measurement of Assertive Community Treatment (TMACT) Fidelity Evaluations Joint Communication Bulletin #J431 amends Joint Communication Bulletin #J393 (May 17, 2021) regarding the timeline and process for TMACT fidelity evaluations. Changes include: Reducing the amount of time spent on site: The amount of time spent on-site for the fidelity evaluation has been reduced from two full days to one and a half days. Transitioning to the electronic fidelity evaluation program (eTMACT): eTMACT is a secure webbased “software as a service” designed to expediate the fidelity evaluation process and enhance rater accuracy and reliability. Teams are now required to submit pre-visit data and documentation into the eTMACT Provider Portal no later than two weeks prior to the on-site fidelity evaluation. The changes also allow for a more careful review of documentation submitted in advance of the onsite visit through a remote chart review. Please note: The on-site chart review will be conducted remotely and occur prior to the on-site evaluation.
The orientation letter the provider receives will have instructions on how to submit chart data through a HIPAA-secure folder. LME/MCO Joint Communication Bulletin # J432: Update to Individual Placement Support (IPS) – Supported Employment Fidelity Evaluations Joint Communication Bulletin #J432 amends Joint Communication Bulletin #J235 (Feb. 14, 2017) and Joint Communication Bulletin #J309 (Oct. 18, 2018), regarding the timeline and process for Individual Placement and Support (IPS) fidelity evaluations. Changes include: The amount of time spent on-site for the fidelity evaluation has been reduced from two full days to one full day on-site and one full day conducted remotely via a secure virtual platform. These days will be consecutive. The day conducted remotely will include virtual interviews and observations. The chart review for the fidelity evaluation will be conducted remotely via a secure virtual platform one week prior to the on-site evaluation. The orientation letter the provider receives will include instructions on how to submit chart data through a HIPAA-secure folder. The deadline for submitting chart data will be three days prior to the remote chart review. A virtual debriefing session will be held following the receipt of the finalized report to provide feedback on strengths and recommendations for future training and improvement. This collaborative effort aims to build connections and strong working relationships between Vaya and providers. The meeting is held through Microsoft Teams on a quarterly basis. Join online.
Cornell Work Incentives Practitioner Virtual Training Oct. 18, 20, 25, and 27, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Nov. 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, and 17, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. This 40-hour training prepares participants to help individuals who receive disability-based benefits through the Social Security Administration and other state and federal agencies to return to work or enter the workforce for the first time. Participants who successfully complete the training, online exam, and program practicum will be credentialed as a Work Incentive Practitioner. Continuing education is required to maintain the credential. Only 30 applicants will be selected for this class. To apply to participate, complete and submit your application form by 5 p.m. Sept. 23, 2022.
