SEPTEMBER 10, 2020 | COMMUNICATION BULLETIN ISSUE 16 IN THIS ISSUE: Hope4NC Helpline Reminder | Perception of Care (POC) Survey | Olmstead Plan Survey | JumpStart Recovery |

Hope4NC Helpline Reminder The Hope4NC Helpline (1-855-587-3463) is a statewide resource for North Carolinians experiencing fear and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic. DHHS created a flyer you can share with your organization and the people you serve that identifies symptoms and provides the Hope4NC phone number.

Perception of Care (POC) Survey The deadline to submit the POC Survey has been extended to Sept. 21, 2020. Providers should continue reaching out to members and encouraging them to complete the survey by describing the potential benefits to them and other members. Survey results for youth and family/guardians are especially needed. For assistance with the survey, please contact Lynn English in Business Integrity (Lynn.English@vayahealth.com or 828-225-2785, Ext. 1264).

Olmstead Plan Survey Stakeholders who could not participate in an Olmstead Planning Listening Session have another way to provide their input. The Technical Assistance Collaborative (TAC) developed a survey with questions about strengths, gaps, challenges and ideas stakeholders have regarding services and supports for North Carolinians with disabilities, including children, youth, adults and older adults. The results of the survey will help inform the TAC about the state’s resources/services and will provide them with recommendations for their Olmstead Plan. Survey responses are anonymous. The survey will be available Sept. 8 – Sept. 22, 2020. Please click here to access the survey or visit the NCDHHS website

JumpStart Recovery New funding for hardship due to COVID-19 is available with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Vaya Health is using this funding toward JumpStart Recovery programs throughout the 22county catchment area.
