NCDHHS Announces Updated Launch Date for Behavioral Health and I/DD Tailored Plans NCDHHS has announced that Behavioral Health and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Tailored Plans and NC Medicaid Direct PIHPs will launch April 1, 2023, instead of Dec. 1, 2022. This updated implementation schedule will provide additional time for providers and LME/MCOs to finalize contracting and testing of new systems. Tailored Care Management providers will still launch their services on Dec. 1, 2022. Medicaid beneficiaries who are expected to receive care through a Tailored Plan will continue to receive behavioral health, I/DD, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) services the same way they do today (through their LME/MCO) and physical health and pharmacy services through NC Medicaid Direct. Beneficiaries who are eligible for Tailored Plans will continue to be able to choose a primary care provider (PCP) and Tailored Care Management provider by contacting their Tailored Plan. The new dates for the choice period to end will be announced by NCDHHS in the coming weeks. NC Medicaid will host a webinar on Friday, Sept. 30, from 1-2 p.m. to provide additional information. Please use this link to join the webinar via Microsoft Teams Live Event. We recommend downloading Microsoft Teams rather than joining from your web browser. There will be an opportunity for attendees to submit questions during the event, and a recording of the webinar will be available on the NC Medicaid Behavioral Health I/DD Tailored Plan webpage. Vaya will host a Provider Touchpoint on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, that will include discussion of

changes to the Tailored Plan implementation timeline. Read more in the NCDHHS news release and a message from NCTracks on behalf of NC Medicaid. For more information, please contact your assigned Provider Network Contact Manager or email provider.info@vayahealth.com.
