Q&A Webinar for Vaya Health Network Providers Tomorrow, Oct. 2, 2020, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Q&A Webinars for Vaya Network Providers take place every two weeks and are an important source of the most up-to-date information for providers. Registration is not required. All Vaya network providers are encouraged to join. Tomorrow’s webinar will include a presentation about telehealth documentation trends and concerns identified by Vaya and tips for how to avoid a notice of overpayment or plan of correction related to telehealth service delivery.

N.C. Innovations Provider Quarterly Self-Review of Member Record Due Oct. 10 The N.C. Innovations Provider Quarterly Self-Review of Member Record is due Oct. 10, 2020. The review must be submitted on the most recent version of the self-review form. Vaya will return incomplete forms to the provider. If your organization has an authorization to provide a service during any portion of the quarter, you must complete Section Two: Service Authorization/ Deviations in Service Delivery and answer the corresponding question(s) below the grid. COVID-19 NEWS AND UPDATES Governor to Move State to Phase 3 of COVID-19 Restrictions


North Carolina will ease some COVID-19-related restrictions while continuing safety measures to combat the spread of virus as the state’s metrics remained stable in September, Gov. Roy Cooper announced Wednesday. Executive Order 169 begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, and continues for three weeks through Oct. 23. New provisions allow outdoor entertainment venues, movie theaters and conference centers, as well as outdoors areas of bars and amusement parks, to operate at limited capacity. Restrictions on mass gatherings will remain at 25 people indoors and 50 people outdoors, and the 11 p.m. curfew on alcohol sales for in-person consumption in locations such as restaurants and outdoor bars will be extended to Oct. 23. Six New DMHDDSAS Virtual Town Hall Meetings for Behavioral Health and IDD Services North Carolina’s public behavioral health and intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) system is undergoing major changes. N.C. DMHDDSAS wants to hear from members, families and advocates about how the system is working and how to help create a system that improves health outcomes and promotes recovery for all North Carolinians. UNC-TV and the Governor’s Institute will host a series of webinars to talk about the changes and gather feedback from stakeholders in their LME/MCO catchment region. The Vaya-specific webinar will be Nov. 19, 2020. Learn how to participate .

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) – Suicide Prevention Web-Based Training Multiple dates through December 2020 Vaya's Provider and Community Education Team will offer free, web-based “Question, Persuade, Refer” (QPR) suicide prevention trainings through December 2020. Trainings will be offered on the second Tuesday (2:30 – 4:30 p.m.) and fourth Tuesday (9 – 11 a.m.) of each month. Each training is limited to 30 participants.
