Vaya Health Holiday Schedule Vaya offices will be closed Dec. 24-27, 2021, for the Christmas holiday. We will resume regularly scheduled operations at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28. Our 24/7 Access to Care Line will remain available to callers throughout the holidays. Individuals experiencing a behavioral health or I/DD crisis can call 1-800-849-6127 to speak with a Vaya Member Services Representative. Please note that Vaya offices will be closed on Dec. 31, 2021, for the New Year’s Day holiday and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. We wish you a happy holiday season and all the best in the year to come.
Q&A Webinar for Vaya Network Providers Jan. 7, 2022, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Vaya’s Provider Q&A Webinars are an important source of the most up-to-date information on topics that affect Vaya network providers. Registration is not required. All network providers are encouraged to attend. Welcome Webpage for Cardinal Innovations Providers Transitioning to Vaya Vaya has added a Welcome Cardinal Providers page to our Provider Central website. This page will be updated frequently through February 2022 and serves as a central resource for vital information for
providers transitioning from Cardinal Innovations. Topics include authorizations and claims, EDI enrollment, coverage information, schedules, and learning opportunities. Learn more: Welcome Cardinal Providers
Innovations Waiver Self-Review Tool Beginning Jan. 1, 2022, providers serving Innovation Waiver participants from the nine counties transitioning from Cardinal Innovations will be responsible for completing Vaya’s Innovations Waiver Self-Review Tool. This tool, located on the Forms page of the Vaya Provider Central website, must be submitted quarterly for each member who participated in Innovations Waiver services during the quarter. Providers must email the completed tool to CCMProgramAssistants@vayahealth.com no later than the 10th of the month following the calendar quarter being reported. The next submission deadline will be April 10, 2022, for the third quarter of FY 2021-22. NCDHHS has approved this form and process. Accessing Historical Cardinal Innovations Care Management Documents Cardinal Innovations network providers associated with member care teams in GuidingCare will continue to have access to documents and related authorizations (e.g., for Innovations members) in the Population Health module through Jan. 31, 2022. Providers will be able to access authorization requests and associated decisions submitted through GuidingCare Provider Portal and be able to download their authorization dump, claims dump, and client dump through the Provider Direct File Transfer function. If you need access to additional member information other than described above that was previously contained in Cardinal Innovations systems for members transitioning to Vaya, please work with the assigned Care Manager or contact Vaya’s Access to Care Line at 1-800-849-6127 for additional help. Vaya strongly encourages providers to download any needed information before Jan. 31, 2022. For technical assistance through Jan. 31, please continue to call the Cardinal Innovations Provider Line at 855-270-3327.
CRITICAL UPDATES FOR TRANSITIONING CARDINAL INNOVATIONS PROVIDERS Service Authorizations Timeline Vaya will honor all existing authorizations issued by Cardinal Innovations for dates of services on and after Jan. 1, 2022. While these authorizations will not immediately be visible to providers in the AlphaMCS system on Jan. 1, claims will pay for these services. Providers should continue to deliver services according to authorizations previously issued by Cardinal Innovations. We expect all authorizations transitioning from Cardinal Innovations to be visible in AlphaMCS by Jan. 31, 2022. AlphaMCS Login Requests To access AlphaMCS as of Jan. 1, 2022, Cardinal Innovations network providers that do not already have a Vaya-issued AlphaMCS login must submit names of staff who require an AlphaMCS login as soon as possible. Please visit the AlphaMCS page on Vaya’s Provider Central website to complete the AlphaMCS Login Request Form . After you have been set up as a provider in AlphaMCS, Vaya will contact you regarding your login information.
AlphaMCS Portal University All Cardinal Innovations network providers can now access the AlphaMCS Portal University to complete AlphaMCS training. To ensure a smooth transition to Vaya on Jan. 1, 2022, we recommend that all Cardinal Innovations providers complete the AlphaMCS training prior to Dec. 31, 2021.
