NCDHHS Announces Updated Launch Date for Behavioral Health and I/DD Tailored Plans • • •

Allows additional time for providers and LME/MCOs to finalize contracting and new systems testing. Tailored Care Management providers still will launch on Dec. 1, 2022. Medicaid beneficiaries who will receive care through a Tailored Plan will continue to receive behavioral health, I/DD, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) services the same way they do today (through their LME/MCO) and physical health and pharmacy services through NC Medicaid Direct. Eligible Beneficiaries for Tailored Plans will continue to be able to choose a primary care provider (PCP) and Tailored Care Management provider by contacting their Tailored Plan. NCDHHS will announce new dates (when the choice period ends) in the coming weeks.

Draft SACOT Clinical Coverage Policy: Provider Feedback Requested NC Medicaid has published the draft Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) Clinical Coverage Policy and is requesting feedback from providers and stakeholders. Tobacco Free Campus Update • To align with the new Tailored Plan, launch date the tobacco-free campus policy requirement will be moved to align with the new implementation date: April 1, 2023. • This was announced during the NC DHHS webinar and the recording of that webinar is available under "Resources" on the https://medicaid.ncdhhs.gov/Behavioral-Health-IDD%20Tailored-Plans. • Additional guidance and communication will be coming out about the tobaccofree policy requirement.

Provider Central Web Portal Vaya will transition to a new Provider Central web portal on Dec. 1, 2022, that: •

Replaces the AlphaMCS portal used for submission of member and recipient information enrollments, updates, discharges, authorizations, and claims. Organization logins: each Provider organization will identify one Systems Access Administrator (SAA), to manage the creation, support, and deactivation of user access to specific sections of Provider Central.
