Escape Plaits
How did smart, courageous Colombia, South America people use what God had given them growing right there on their own heads to outsmart slave holders and escape? This is exactly what the first free Black township in all the Americans is known for doing way back then. This was the escape by plaits braids plan that worked! There was no reading and writing. But people sent secret signal messages, made escape maps, and stored survival things like gold and seeds in a cornrow braids plaits style called “departes.”
Slave holders never noticed, never touched a black slave’s hair. Therefore, escape plans were pretty much safe, and led to freedom. The city of San Basilio de Palenque, created by the escaped slaves and their descendants, still exists.
$Millions – Am I Richer or Poorer?
Sadio Mane, a Senegalese soccer super star, earned $22 million last year. But there are no luxury jewels, homes, vehicles, clothes, etc. Why?
“I starved, worked in the fields, played barefoot, and could not go to school.” Now Mane can and does help the very poor in his Senegalese region. Mane provides monthly income supplements. He built a stadium, built schools, and provides clothes, shoes, and food.

• Jesus is called the King of kings. This king offers wonderful new life to everyone he touches. Jesus is asking each of us to friend him back. God still blesses us with good kings: The kind of kings who listen to God and impact the family in ways that help everyone. Ever heard of Dr. Martin Luther King or “King Saysay?” Our royal Graham’s young King Saysay, pictured above, is an honor student studying chemical engineering at NC State.
