EYES OF THE CITY
Eyes of the City | Copenhagen Conference Hall
COPENHAGEN CONFERENCE HALL Year: 2018 Type: competition project Organization: ArchiContest Location: Dantes Plads, Copenhagen, Denmark
Conference hall which belongs to its city. It dissolves in it. Conference hall which sees its city. It is a part of city life. The conference hall which is a link between cultures. Conference hall which is a symbol of a modern city. The concept of the Copenhagen Conference Hall is completely formed by its site. The history of the place and the surrounding buildings had a decisive influence on the formation of its planning structure. From the 15th century, in its place was one of the bastions of the fortress wall. In the middle of the 19th century, a plan was developed to expand the city beyond its borders. And by the beginning of the 20th century, a trapezoidal area was formed between the two buildings - the present Dantes Plads. Appreciating the history of the site, the concept of the conference hall was not to destroy the existing urban space, but to enrich and diversify it. Instead of filling the void between the two existing buildings, it was decided to place on the square a symbolic art object - a cube with a facade made of mirror panels with convex lenses symbolizing the eyes of the city, and hide the volume of the conference hall under the surface of the square. This solution allowed to preserve the typology of Dantes Plads as a city square and at the same time to enrich it with new functions and urban life.
Look. See. Watch. Every passer-by sees his reflection in the eyes of the city.

Creating an entrance area with an amphitheater and a ramp below the level of Dantes Plads.
Creating a multifunctional space with 25 cubes in front of an art object.
Between the two buildings forming the Dantes Plads it was difficult to imagine the massive volume of the new conference hall building. The natural solution was to hide the premises of the conference hall under the surface of the square. On the surface of the square there is only a cube with a facade made of mirror panels with convex lenses symbolizing the eyes of the city.

The entrance to the conference hall is below the level of the square. The ramp on one side and the steps on the other lead to the entrance. Thus, the area has acquired a second level and a variety of space.
Cube-installation with a facade made of mirror panels.
In the mirror cube there is a two-story exhibition space. On the north side of the square a separate entrance for employees is situated.
At the entrance to the conference hall there is a foyer and a cafe. The foyer can be used as an additional exhibition space. From the foyer you can get to the auditorium of the conference hall and to a small lecture hall. The layout of the structure is as simple as possible and is understandable for any visitor.
In the northern part of the building there is an administration block, with a separate entrance, offices and an access to the main auditorium. Since the administration rooms are also underground, access to daylight is provided by numerous roof lights.

SINKING IN BLUE
FLOATING CABIN Year: 2017 Type: competition project Organization: Archistart Location: any pond, river or lake
Blue bird of happiness. Blue cabin of calmness. On any pond, river or lake anyone can find a quiet and peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
The creation of the cabin’s form
A small cabin that is not higher than 5 meters nor more than 25 square meters, with all facilities that might need for two people. An inner space that is twisted around the core with all necessary amenities. The core is the heart of the cabin. It includes only what is need: a bed, a toilet, a kitchenette and a table. That is why the room space spins around it. Deep window frames, strongly protruding from the cabin walls, form wide windowsills that hang above the surface of the water. These windowsills - an additional place where you can sit comfortably and enjoy picturesque view opening from the window. The structural system is relatively simple - a wooden frame with insulation. The facade is lined with wooden siding. The interior walls are wrapped vertically by strips of timber. Everything is painted blue. Sinking in Blue | Floating cabin

SOME THING ABOUT US
something about us | Museum of Mankind
MUSEUM OF MANKIND Mankind is inextricably linked with the culture created throughout the entire period of human existence. During our centuries-old history, we, people, have come a long way from primitive beings, driven by instincts, to innovators, fascinated by the flight of thought.
Year: 2015 Type: student project Tutors: Nabokova Tatiana, Mariya Trojan Location: Nagatinskaya floodplain, Moscow, Russia
The idea of creating a Museum of Mankind is caused by admiration of the human mind and glorification of its achievements and opportunities. The museum is located on the territory of the Nagatinskaya floodplain one of the green recreation areas in the Southern District of Moscow. The museum building is enclosed in a shell in the form of a twisted spiral - a form inspired by the structure of DNA, an element containing colossal information about humanity as a species. The entire structure of the museum is elevated above the ground on two legs-supports, in which the main communications, including staircase-elevator nodes, are located. The internal organization of the museum reflects the main aspects of human activity: «Philosophy» - as one of man’s ways to understand by reflection, as his own nature, and the nature of the world around him; «Art» - as a way of expressing one’s feelings and sensations through the process of creation and creation; and «Science» - as a practical method of interaction with the world, through scientific research and the creation of a new technological reality. All in all the main goal and role of the Museum of Mankind is to show the achievements and opportunities of human civilization, and to serve as a source of inspiration for any visitor.
The museum is located in the park on the bank of the Moscow River, on the territory of the Nagatinskaya floodplain.

THE ICON
The icon | Mixed-Use Building
Mixed-use building To revive the life of the dormitory area. To create a new urban socio-communicative space for the 82nd quarter and the entire district of KhoroshevoMnevniki. To create a memorable icon of the district.
Year: 2017 Type: bachelor’s diploma project Tutors: Nabokova Tatiana, Mariya Trojan Location: 82 qarter, Moscow, Russia
A building that combines many functions. A hybrid, which contributes to the enrichment of urban life. Mixed-use building that includes: cultural center, offices, hotel, city public space, apartments and underground parking. The building, during the creation of which, emphasis was placed on its socio-cultural function. Therefore, it includes a well-developed socio-cultural center with a library, workshops, lecture halls and exhibition space. The cultural center also includes a small cinema with a separate entrance. The volume of the center is raised above the public square, which also plays the role of a cultural and recreational area, where street cafes and outdoor exhibitions can be located. The building is located on a large transport highway. So it will be, in some way, the icon of the 82nd quarter. That is why, it was given an expressive form with a complex plastic solution, to create an accent and memorable image. However, in this case, the spatial complexity of the structure of the building is combined with the variety of it’s functions. The combination of a residential function and working spaces with the inclusion of a cultural and social part in the structure of the building contributes to the social and cultural enrichment of the city life.
The building is located in the 82nd quarter of the district of HoroshevoMnevniki, at the intersection of Marshal Zhukov Avenue and General Karbyshev Boulevard.

The building is made of reinforced concrete. The main load-bearing elements are columns and crossbars, as well as a cross-ribbed slab on which columns of offices and cultural coplex are supported. The frame of the structure is rigidly connected with the cross-ribbed slab by an external load-bearing frame, due to which the building becomes spatially rigid and perceives loads as a single constructive system.
The cultural center is a platform with 4 inner courtyards, raised above the public square. It includes a complex of premises of a small cinema and a library space with workshops and lecture halls.
In the hall of the cinema there are ancillary rooms for various purposes, allowing not only film screenings to be held in the complex, but also improvised theatrical performances organized by amateur theater groups.

public space design Year: 2018 Type: work project, arch. bureau «PROGRESS» Author: senior architect - Ivan Sakara, architect - Victoria Matryuk Location: Vatytinki ,Moscow Region, Russia
The project was created while working in the architectural bureau PROGRESS. It was necessary to develop a concept for the public space design of several residential quarters. The senior architect and I came up with the idea that the design of the territory would be made in the form of a pattern consisting of a set of amorphous spots. Each spot can perform different functions: be a children’s sandbox, slide, sports ground, etc. A set of spots, in this case, plays the role of a canvas which can be filled with various objects at the request of the customer. My task was: the development of design of spots, the creation of models of small architectural forms, to make axonometries and master plan. The design of small architectural forms was developed together with the senior architect.
Spots | Public Space Design
According to the idea, through the courtyards of the neighborhoods leads a ÂŤlinear boulevardÂť with pedestrian paths, bike paths, running tracks and a green area with benches for rest. In each yard there is a large awning with a tree in the center and seats.Under each courtyard there is an underground parking, and under the linear boulevard there is a corridor with engineering communications. Access to this corridor is from underground parking and this makes maintenance and repair of engineering communications easier.

SHISHKOV
TSA
fir-CONES CANOPY Year: 2017 Type: installation Authors: Victoria Matryuk, Ivan Skibnevsky Location: Summerhouse,Tuchkovo village, Moscow region, Russia
«Shishkovitsa» «Shishka» - means a fir-cone in Russian. «-ovitsa» is a suffix that gives the word a collective meaning. «Shishkovitsa» - is 748 cones collected together. 748 individual units that create a single surface. The «Shishkovitsa» was created one summer day on vacation after the defense of a bachelor’s degree by me and my friend Ivan. Resting at the country house, we noticed that there were a lot of fir-cones that have fall from the surrounding pines scattered around the site. Deciding to collect all these pinecones, we realized that they had filled a whole box. We thought, «Such a large amount of material, why not make some kind of installation of all these cones!». Inspired by the shape of the hyperbolic paraboloid, we decided to hang the cones under the ceiling of the terrace so that they would create a feeling of a single surface. The idea of the created form was to frame the entrance of the terrace with an arch that would gradually turn into an inverted arch, creating a curvilinear surface. SHISHKOVITSA | Fir-Cones Canopy

THE GIFT
COFFEE TABLE Year: 2018 Type: furniture Author: Victoria Matryuk Location: my parent’s flat, Moscow, Russia
The best gift is a gift made with your own hands. One day my parent’s old coffee table broke down and they had to think about buying a new one. But why buy if I can make a new coffee table for them by myself ?! Traditional 4 legged table
3 points of support that is enouth to achive stability
Joining points of support by planes
The shape of the table was inspired by reflection on the supports and surfaces. So, for example, the traditional table has 4 support legs, although in theory to achieve stability 3 supports are enough, according to the theorem of geometry, that through three points not lying on one line, you can draw a only one plane. And thinking about 3 points of support, I decided to replace one of the three with a ring that has a larger area of contact with the surface. Supports under the plane of the table, I mirrored in relation to the points of the table itself. And when all the points are joined by planes, the shape of the table was obtained. The design system selected for the table is a cross-ribbed connection of longitudinal parts and cross-sectional details. Such a constructive scheme ensures the strength and rigidity of the table. The connections of the details are made using the system of grooves. This system allows to easy and quickly assemble the table without using glue or nails. the gift | Coffee Table
