INTERNSHIP - SEM 2 2023
During my internship, I grew more passionate about the subject by seeing projects in action during site visits. I learned new software like Micro Station and improved my skills with Adobe tools. Working on different tasks across projects broadened my understanding. I also enhanced my knowledge of plants, now easily identifying a ‘Native Rosemary’.
Achieving my goal of deepening my subject knowledge was aided by engaging in team discussions, where I sharpened my communication skills and learned to present my ideas succinctly.
Internship Location - Tract Consultants, Adelaide, SA.

ECHOES OF FLUIDITY
Bringing new life to Port Adelaide, a post-industrial city centre prone to flooding, primarily involves inviting increased density, while addressing water challenges. The design aims to accomodate series of water focused parks that celebrate community and water.
A combination of rain garden along the streets, along with detention and retention basins are positioned that can accomodate flooding during a 1-in-100 year event occurs. Additionally, a significant feature is the Tam o’shanter walking/cycling path named after the creek demolished in 1870’s.

This Master plan represents the relation between indoor and outdoor landscape, as well as how these defined buildings shapes the retrofitted campus.
H2O URBAN VILLAGE
The design aims to enhance the efficiency of stormwater system by implementing a sustainable Initiative on the brownfield site (previously an industrial gasworks site at brompton): wetland system. The water creek collects excess rainwater from surrounding buildings and treats it as it flows towards a sediment basin, filtering out major waste before entering the wetland for complete treatment.
This concept ties into the industrial history the site had by proposing co-working spaces. an artists hub and a convention center to re-create a ‘MicroIndustry’. To support young entrepreneurs , affordable housing is accommodated along the site boundary restricting vehicle movement internally. A heritage plaza invites the public with various proposed activities, including an art gallery. Water acts as an binding element throughout the site in different forms and play elements.
The newly modified City West Campus at University of South Australia in terms of the Super Block concept will be a Student & Pedestrian prioritized environment. Peer-Learning is the future, this would be defined by the new campus layout and also achieving a sense of community culture.
The existing site condition allows vehicular movement to pass through the campus precinct, hindering pedestrian movement. Through my design, I aim for being generous and provide space for students to walk. Additionally, by incorporating different activities in the campus floor space, such as the Library, Retail cafe, outdoor learning sessions, community gathering spaces, the design aims to invite public in the campus precinct.

WELCOMING TOGETHER
The chosen site lies between Art Gallery of South Australia and Mitchell Building and aims to increase social interaction. People are invited to ‘interact’ in the space rather than just passing through to reach from point ‘a’ to ‘b’.
Through stimulating design elements and altering the present site conditions, the space is designed to encourage maximum outdoor social interaction, while still providing the necessary comfort for activities such as peer discussions, informal talking and several fun activities. Part of the Art Gallery exhibit would also be carried out which would create a link with the university.

FINAL PROJECT - B.Arch
The Idea of this Thesis project titled ‘School for the Children with Autism and Intellectual disability’ is to design a school for them according to their spatial needs to ensure a comfortable learning space. A school where teachers are exclusively trained to teach them would be beneficial for their development.
Both Autistic disorder and Intellectual disability are very different in nature. Autistic children struggle to socialize and communicate and have sensory difficulties, whereas children with Intellectual disability behave according to their mental age.
However, the environment that would benefit children with autistic disorder would benefit children with intellectual disabilities as well, in terms of the special care , educational facilities and therapy center.

MASTER PLAN
Spaces
• Early Intervention Center,
• Classroom
• Therapy center
• Vocational training
• Sensory park
Sensory park : A sensory park is where children with all kind of developmental disabilities have opportunities to come and play together. A sensory park constitutes of :
• Sensory play area : This area helps them to interact and improve their social skills. The play area is well integrated with the nature , building block.
• Sensory garden : A sensory garden with thoughtful choice of native plants can arouse the senses in unique ways.
The design aims to unify all children and provide a meaningful learning platform that allows them to learn and thrive better.
