Veerayatan Kenya will establish a fully equipped world class cerebral palsy centre in Kenya for starters. A very exciting moment indeed and a tremendous benefit to those suffering from cerebral palsy, a debilitating disease which restricts one’s mobility, speech and other motor functions because of brain damage before, during or just after birth.
Veerayatan is renowned for its selfless work having built schools, colleges and hospitals in various parts of India including Rajgraha, Pawapuri, and Kutch among others.
Veerayatan has spread its wings in Africa, to launch Veerayatan Kenya and that too, on a blessed day, the eve of Pujya Acharya Shri Chandanaji’s 79th birthday.
Monday morning, the 26th January, 2015, on the birthday of Acharya Shriji, she officially opened a hall for the cerebral palsy unit at Dr. Rebeiro Parklands School which the Young Jains Nairobi has adopted for the past 5 years and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the children affected with cerebral palsy.
Seeing the cerebral palsy children moves one to tears and we are grateful to them for giving us an opportunity to do something for them. As Pujya Acharya Shriji says, “if you work for others and bring happiness to others, divinity automatically will descend in you.”
She embraced them
She understood their pain and their tears, she laughed with them. She hugged them and she loved them, And they loved her back.
she danced with them, played with them,
She fed them, played with them, she danced with them. she addressed them with utmost compassion, And she became one with them.
We all wish Pujya Acharya Shri Chandanaji many many more birthdays and a happy happy life so that she can touch more and more lives.
