Food Spotlight NORTHERN ENVY

Northern Envy began as a food truck in the Reno/Sparks area in 2021. Owner Cory White takes great pride in his food truck and restaurant and having a staff family. Growing up in the California Bay Area and being surrounded by family, chefs and bakers alike, Cory has been inspired by food from all corners of his past and present, but it’s his customer service standards that drives him to provide excellent customer service. Northern Envy is the outlet for his creativity and he wanted to create a product that is made for the foodie. He looked at the market and saw that many food trucks and eateries serve a niche and he wanted to fill the gaps and serve the people who enjoy fresh, quality food. You can’t describe Northern Envy's food type just with a name. With a strong sense of gratitude, they have been successful from the beginning.

Northern Envy has partnered with a diverse selection of Northern Nevada cannabis dispensaries such as Three Nations, The Source, Jade Midtown and Rise Spanish Springs over the short time they’ve been around, primarily because they serve food that cannabis consumers want. That is food that not only sounds delicious, and looks amazing, but also satisfies the spirit when they’re using cannabis. Chef Cory really enjoys flower from Kynd Cannabis Co. and prefers flower over any other ways of consuming. His favorite terpene is terpinolene.

In early 2023, they partnered with The Stick Sports Lounge in Downtown Reno; the only sports bar in the area. They operate the kitchen there and call it their home. The welcoming they’ve gotten from the owners, staff and community has truly been humbling. They’ve created a menu with the same fundamentals they began with which includes the same diverse selection of items. The crew also enjoys attending “Food Truck Fridays”. Made to order, all menu items are the same quality, designed for the foodies at heart. They offer food specials on select days of the week: Salad Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, Wing Wednesdays, Steak Thursdays and on Sundays, they serve Brunch and Burgers. The full menu includes an array of smash burgers, tacos, salads, pastas and steaks.
