Ecuador received 13 official delegations on Monday to debate for two days about the Venezuelan migratory issue in the region. The thirteen regional coountries expect to change information, criteria, knowledge and
experiences so that Latin America and the Caribbean can respond to the Venezuelan migratory flow. The Foreign Minister for Ecuador, Andrés Terán, confirmed that Venezuela will not participate in the meeting .

Venezuela evaluates breaking relations with Colombia
Region doesn’t cooperate
The Venezuelan government is evaluating breaking or freezing relations with Colombia, Jose Vicente Rangel ex Defence Minister informed. Rangel indicated that the decision will be taken due to the reiterated aggressions from Colombia to the country, attacks to high authorities of the State and to the Venezuelan Constitutional order. Venezuela has been attentive to the change in the Presidency of Colombia, but everything seems to indicate that relations wont get better with Ivan Duque in the Narino House, Rangel stated. denounced on Monday that it hasn’t received answers to 40 diplomatic notes delivered to governments in the region to address migratory isssues. Venezuelan Vice President, Delcy Rodriguez also warned that these countries are using the migratory issue in a political manner to attack Venezuela. Rodriguez denounced that they want to turn the normal migratory flow of Vene-
zuelans into a humanitarian crisis to justify a military invasion. The Vice President recalled that Venezuela is the second country in South America recipient of migration, according to figures backed by the United Nations. Rodriguez rejected that Colombia uses the migratory issue to obtain international funds from the United States and the European Union, a figure which is
over 50 million dollars. At the same time it was informed that hundreds of Venezuelans in Peru requested on Monday that the government receive them and return them to the country, the Venezuelan Embassy in Lima confirmed.. Venezuelans will be able to purchase savings in gold until this Friday when the first allocation of gold plates of 1.5 and 2.5 grams in the market ends. The Venezuelan government created this savings method which implies an electronic certificate issued by the Central Bank of Venezuela. The buyer will be able to monetize it in a lapse of three months, with the closing price on that date, the government spokesperson explained. The government disposed the sale of a tenth part of the gold plate, so savings vary from 350 to 5,837 Bolivars soberanos, that is 5.8 dollars to 97.2 dollars at the exchange rate stablished by the Venezuelan Central Bank.
