BOLIVARIAN ALLIANCE FOR THE PEOPLES OF OUR AMERICA PEOPLES’TRADE TREATY
ALBA - TCP
ON THE EXTENSION OF UNITED STATES' SANCTIONS AGAINST VENEZUELA The member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America- Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) reject the renewal of the "Venezuela Defence of Human Rights and Civil Society Act " dated 2014, passed by the Senate of the United States, which extends until 2019 the unilateral and extraterritorial sanctions applied by the United States of America against the people and the Bolivarian government of Venezuela. This act is a legal framework that intends to give sustenance to the illicit Executive Order of President Barack Hussein Obama, declaring Venezuela an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. The member countries of the ALBA-TCP repudiate these actions which violate Public International Law, the principles of non-interference in the countries’ internal affairs and the sovereign equality and self-determination of States, which are intended to divert the historical course of freedom and independence of our nations. He also boosted the Bolivarian Economic Agenda, developed by the national government for the construction of a new economic model marked by productive and aimed at overcoming the rentier oil. This information was published on the Twitter account of the Executive Vicepresidency, which also reported that Isturiz, upon his arrival in the country located in southern Africa, was received by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of South Africa, Llewellyn Landers and by the South African ambassador to Venezuela, Thaninga Shope-Linney. South Africa is one of the most important emerging economies in the world and the largest in Africa. Foreign Minister Rodriguez demonstrated the truth about Venezuela at the OAS Imperial onslaught The head of the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, said that "there is a historical arrogance that seeks to rule over our nations, that's not rhetoric, it is a reality", he stressed that one of the characteristics of the political exercise of US power is its double standard and that there is evidence to show its violation of international law "against not only Venezuela but also with other countries of the world."
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez, participated Thursday at the special meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) to "present the truth of Venezuela, its government and its people! With Bolivar and Chavez we will win". The Venezuelan diplomat arrived in Washington after the request made in a letter by representatives of Venezuela to the president of that body, Juan José Arcuri, just after the Chancellor denounced the United States had denied visas for her personnel who had been scheduled to attend various events which would be held at the headquarters of the OAS, by which it stated that, in the case of participation in multilateral events based in the US, the US embassy "cannot refuse to grant the visas, you are required to facilitate all procedures". During her speech, Chancellor Rodriguez, denounced the interventionists and interference attacks by the Government of the United States and threats of media, financial, economic and social kind that seek to overthrow the constitutional and democratic order in Venezuela. "It intends to sell to the world, with assistance from the General Secretariat of the OAS, a humanitarian crisis in Venezuela. [...] Large communication corporations have taken the task of spreading financial collapse and distort the reality of Venezuela without giving space to the truth, such is the case of the Washington Post, which in 30 days has released six editorials against Venezuela, a record in the world", she said. She noted that Venezuela will not allow "A country (especially the United States), intervention in the homeland of Bolívar. Extraterritoriality has no other name, but flagrant violation of the sovereign jurisdiction of States [...] the people of Venezuela is a wall of ethics and moral, interventionism will not be allowed in our country ". Solidarity of the peoples of the world Rodriguez thanked the solidarity and support of the peoples of the world against the executive order made by the US government, which categorizes Venezuela as a threat. "The executive order issued by the US government against Venezuela is a violation of international law. It is irrational to think that our country, which has no military resources, can be a threat to the United States or any other country." She thanked the support and backing of Alba-TCP "who today rejected the law imposing sanctions against our country by the US Senate."
She noted that 2008 marked the beginning of the international financial aggression against Venezuela, and that despite the financial boycott; the Bolivarian Republic is internationally recognized by UNESCO and FAO, thanks to the government of Comandante Hugo Chavez who worked on the inclusion of the people who had been subjugated. She denounced the attacks led by the US government to promote shortages in Venezuela: "It's a shame that against multilateralism they seek to impose unilateral powers to overthrow governments [...] imperial centers give daily displays on how they attack international law of States". Rodriguez addressed to the Secretary General of the Organization of American States to reject and denounce "his role of non impartiality when it comes to Venezuela, he has combined his agenda with the Venezuelan opposition and the US government." "It is no coincidence that while opposition deputies met with the Secretary General of the Organization of American States and the US Senate has renewed sanctions against Venezuela", she said. In response to the subsequent intervention of the US ambassador to that organization, Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez said that the United States quota provided to the OAS "should be discounted from the vast resources plundered to our Latin-American peoples for decades." The Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy imposes itself The Venezuelan diplomat said that during this decade of revolution has demonstrated the democratic process in Venezuela: "Democracy is exercised in our country, mainly for its people, is widely recognized, a truly democratic state is the one that constitutionally protects and promotes human rights", she said. She stated that in December 2014 the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, called for peace and said that despite the imperial forces seeking to overthrow the Bolivarian Revolution, "They will not do it, because with us is the strength and moral struggle of our Liberators ". "All these plans of aggression against Bolivar's homeland have failed since 1999 to 2015. Our government has guaranteed peace! The dignity of peoples cannot be attacked with maneuvers and manipulations, so these attempts continue to fail in Venezuela”. In this context, she demanded the US government to channel its political and ideological differences in a cordial way. "We called the attention of the Member States of the OAS on the serious implications of other member State seeking to overthrow a popularly elected government" and urged the organization to serve as a space for dialogue between CELAC and North America.

Technology for a liberating education THE CANAIMA EDUCATION PROJECT IN VENEZUELA MARKS 7 YEARS
During the ďŹ rst stage of the project (school year 2009-2010), 350 thousand pieces of equipment were brought to Venezuela, through an agreement with Portugal. Today, seven years later, Venezuela has a plant for the manufacture and development of Free Software for these computers, and which has also facilitated the program to be extended to middle school students. Through the project, the Bolivarian Revolution has managed to distribute far more than 2 million 300 thousand computers to the Venezuelan pupils.
In 2009, the Supreme Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chavez, spearheaded the launch of The Canaima Education Project, an initiative by the Bolivarian government that aims to support the comprehensive education of girls and children, through the provision of laptops with educational content for teachers and students of the primary educational subsystems comprised of national, state, municipal and autonomous public and private schools subsidized by the state.
This Revolution in education has been achieved thanks to the Venezuelan government which has launched a set of actions aimed at liberating education, with the use of new information technologies and communication as assistant tools, and thus bringing science and technology to the Venezuelan people.
This program since its launch has beneďŹ ted millions of young people as part of the new revolutionary education model and technological sovereignty, for the integral formation of Venezuelan children through liberating and emancipatory learning, using the aid of new technologies.

Kenya to deploy drones in all national parks in bid to tackle poaching Kenya is to deploy drones in all of its 52 national parks and reserves in a bid to monitor and stop the poaching of elephants and rhinos. The move by the government follows a successful pilot project in major protected wildlife area, that saw drones reduce poaching by up to 96%. Kenya has lost more than 435 elephants and around 400 rhinos to poachers since 2012, driven by demand for illegal wildlife products in Asia and elsewhere. Poachers have killed 18 rhinos and 51 elephants in 2014 so far.

Paul Udoto, spokesman for the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), said: "Use of drones has shown that we can prevent poaching and arrest many poachers on their tracks. The pilot project has been a success and we are working with many partners including the Kenya police, the National Intelligence Service, and a lot of international partners such as Interpol, Ugandan and Tanzanian governments.". He said he could not name which the park in the pilot took place, in case it changed poachers' tactics.KWS using drone to monitor elephants and rhino in Kenya : Kora National Park
The drones use radio frequencies to monitor the landscape and the movement of the animals.
"Apart from drones, we are purchasing more equipment such as fire arms, bulletproof vests, and night equipment. We will also be training our rangers and recruiting new ones," said Udoto.
According to Udoto, the drones use radio frequencies to monitor the landscape and the movement of the animals. They are unmanned aircraft and remotely piloted in areas that are considered too risky for flight. Advertisement
KWS currently has 975 rangers, a figure set to rise to 1,600 by the end of the year. Separate to its own rangers, Udoto said KWS was training community rangers who are employed by both community and private ranches. "We have trained about 1,200 community rangers. We plan to reduce poaching activities in all the 52 national parks and wildlife protected areas around Kenya in the next few months."
"The drones will have a capacity to spot the poachers before they even kill an animal. We have tried so many other security measures but they have failed us," Udoto said. The drones will provide the rangers and other security personnel with 24-hour-a-day surveillance once in full force.
William Kiprono, KWS director, told the Guardian: "Poaching is a menace and we have realised something had to be done. That is why we decided to come up with the idea to use drones. This is a project that may even last a lifetime as long as poaching remains a problem and the global demand for wildlife products continues to increase."
"With drones, you can keep aerial surveillance and monitor if there are any poaching activities. Poachers will be very scared and we believe arrests will be many based on the results of the pilot project. Enforcement will be much easier," Udoto said.
Six senior KWS officials were placed on leave earlier this month after allegations by its founder, Richard Leakey, that the service had been infiltrated by people enriching themselves from poaching.
The $103m drone project is being funded partly by Kenya but also by the governments of the United States, Netherlands, France and Canada.
