BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA MINISTRY FOR PEOPLE'S POWER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS COMMUNIQUÉ The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and the Venezuelan people, extends his congratulations to the Brother Government and people of Jamaica on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of its independence. It was in Jamaica, 201 years ago, where our Liberator Simon Bolivar immortalized the "Charter of Jamaica", leading the way for the union of the people of our America, "I desire more than anyone else to form in America the greatest nation in the world, less for its extension and riches than for its liberty and glory ... " This sister Caribbean nation remains today a benchmark of independence, dignity and struggle against colonialism. It was also in Jamaica where President Hugo Chavez found strong support to jointly create PETROCARIBE as a mechanism of solidarity and unity among our people through the sovereign use of energy resources for the development of our nations. From Venezuela, we greet with brotherly affection the Government and people of Jamaica, and we join the jubilation felt by this country, while expressing the most sincere words of friendship and solidarity, and our commitment to further strengthen our relations based on the common history, union and Caribbean integration. "I think the time and history presents us with an opportunity to change course towards where Bolívar pointed out in his charter, our Charter of Jamaica". "We could call it the commitment of Jamaica, and accept it as a supreme commitment" Hugo Chavez Caracas, 6th August, 2016

Venezuela Condemns the disrespectful remarks by the Secretary of State of the US
"The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects the intemperate and disrespectful statements by the United States Secretary of State, John Kerry" said the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Delcy RodrĂguez , after the US diplomat issued interventionist remarks against Venezuela. From her Twitter account, @DrodriguezVen, The Minister of foreign Affairs reported that Kerry is making "an anti Bolivarian tour of South America dictating orders to the Triple Alliance to attack Venezuelaâ€?, for what She said is "of global concern, the interventionism of the US government in the life of the countries as well as the violation of international law ". She affirmed that the dialogue promoted by President Nicolas Maduro to "model the Venezuelan opposition in a peaceful way, is sabotaged by their foreign bosses".
Delcy Rodriguez said Bolivar's homeland will never yield "nor will it relax in defending its sovereignty and independence, the legacy of our Liberators" and the legacy of the Supreme Commander Hugo Chavez, who advocated the building of a world free of imperial hegemonies. www.mre.gob.ve

Venezuela will assume its respective rights in Mercosur Foreign Minister Rodriguez reiterated that the homeland of Bolívar is exercising the pro tempore presidency of MERCOSUR, and in that context, acknowledged the good performance of Uruguayan Government during PPT and thanked the respect that this country has made to the Rule of Law of that mechanism.
During the program "7 Preguntas ", transmitted by the multistate TELESUR, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodriguez, said that Venezuela fully embraces what is rightfully its: the legitimate and full exercise of the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Common Market of the South (Mercosur).
She stressed that the head of state, Nicolas Maduro, has major plans for regional integration which includes intra-regional trade and social MERCOSUR, "which was the cornerstone of the Supreme Commander Hugo Chavez when he redimensioned the involvement and participation of Venezuela in the aforementioned South American bloc.
She said that what is different in the laws as enshrined in its founding treaty (Treaty of Asuncion in Article 12 and the Treaty of Ouro Preto in Article 5) "puts us in a de facto situation, we would not be hitting Venezuela, we would be hitting hard on MERCOSUR because we would be in a kind of limbo where nobody knows that rules must be respected ".
International deals
She denounced that the lack of respect to these foundational rules corresponds to a triple alliance that seeks to republish a Condor Plan against the Bolivarian Revolution and which is also affecting the people of MERCOSUR and the mechanisms of union of the peoples of South America with the conviction of imposing again the Washington consensus. "They are the same who claim to return to the past, to that dark decade where neoliberal policies had plunged our people into poverty, misery, inequality, exclusion that violated human rights."
Referring to the statement of the Foreign Ministry Argentina, who invoked the "custom” which involves making a summit transfer the pro tempore presidency of MERCOSUR, Venezuelan minister stressed that this is an unlawful maneuver and pseudo right."The custom in international treaties, from the point of view of the interpretation of the rule can not be imposed on the law that is clear." She noted that, to pretend to invoke the "custom" as a source of law when the founding treaties of MERCOSUR are very clear and apply, has no legal meaning. "We are concerned about the attitude of the Foreign Minister of Argentina, Susana Malcorra, of ignoring the rules and treaties of international law". She reiterated that the law states that the handover of the Pro Tempore presidency be passed after one semester and takes place in alphabetical order, “they are the only two conditions that must occur for ipso facto and automatically transfer be given.” www.mppre.gob.ve

Promoting the unknown about Africa East African Community traders to use local currencies within region The move will enable traders transact without having to convert national currencies into dollars first as the central banks seek to cushion businesses from foreign exchange shocks that accompany dollar movements. The use of the dollar in regional trade is expected to fall after the central banks of the five East Africa Community member states agreed on direct convertibility of national currencies, to protect them from weakening against the green buck.
This means that the Kenyan, Ugandan and Tanzanian shillings; Rwandan and Burundian francs will be freely inter-changeable. www.theeastafrican.co.ke
