Valeria Accornero, gioiellocontemporaneo.it

As part of the Venice Design Week (6th edition this year), the Palazzo Pesaro Papafava opens its doors to the exhibition FELES IN FABULA, dedicated to food design. Design pieces and images linked to reflections on food :who eats what? Who eats who? The pieces are combined compositionally, in the charming Ballroom of the famous Venetian Gothic palace, returning a fascinating engagement of contemporary design in historic rooms. The exhibition is studied in order to relate objects and works together in a relationship of tension and dialogue through the presence of the figure feline, pet par excellence, and respected force in the distant and recent past of the city of Venice, for services rendered. The table is the place of dialogue and sharing for excellence. The exhibition aims to praise and promote a new approach to conviviality studied through the interaction of design with art and crafts. 18

LIGHT and RAIN Maggie’s centre, Manchester
Weather has an enormous impact on everyday life, as the high level of rain can cause depression and various health problems. In Manchester I aimed to turn this weather feature into a unique, magical experience. The glass roof that is lit from its edges become the route of the rain and as the raindrops touch its surface, a beautiful sparkling light appears on the inner side of the building. The glowing rain pattern forms a stream, small ponds, waterfall according to the shape of the roof panels.
