VENICE DESIGN WEEK Venice Design Week (VDW), alla settima edizione da l’opportunità di vedere, sperimentare e interagire con i protagonisti del design. VDW si è evoluta negli anni ed ha coinvolto sempre più persone che lavorano nel design e interessati che durante la settimana veneziana scambiano idee trovano ispirazioni e connessioni per i propri progetti. Quest’anno celebriamo Wearable Technologies con l’esposizione nel Museo di Palazzo Mocenigo dedicato alla Moda e al Profumo ed un primo convegno sul tema delle tecnologie indossabili programmato per il 1° ottobre. In città ci saranno molte altre mostre che esplorano altri aspetti del design tra cui interior design, la luce, oggetti progettati per essere utili, gioielli. Approcci diversificati convivono con approci più tradizionali, alcuni esempi l’esposizione “Equilibri”, alla ricerca di equilibrio estetico e funzionalità,
o “l’eleganza del cigno nero”, in cui le idee si trasformano in straordinari oggetti del quotidiano realizzati in piccole serie. A Venezia si possono scoprire molteplici aspetti del design contemporaneo ed in particolare si scoprono le radici storiche attraverso percorsi specifici. La mappa Venice Design Week permette a chiunque di andare fuori dai soliti percorsi touristici, di incontrare persone che gestiscono laboratori autentici, showroom particolari scoprendo così una Venezia ancora autentica. Vagando attraverso le calli e campielli è possibile assaporare l’atmosfera e chiacchierare con gli artigiani che lavorano in modo tradizionale o che innovano partendo dalla tradizione e usano materiali e tecniche contemporanei per raggiungere un’elevata qualità. Visite guidate nelle mostre e

in giro per la città conducono i visitatori attraverso percorsi che spaziano dal passato al presente alle visioni future dei designer contemporanei. Appassionati di Design possono trovare nuovi marchi, scelti per lo stile, idee innovative e nuovi spunti. Molti giovani designer sono in città per incontrare il pubblico e le aziende. I marchi noti presentano le loro ricerche, interagiscono per catturare feedback su prossimi prodotti e per promuovere nuovi progetti. La Design Week è un momento di networking in un’atmosfera speciale in cui la bellezza della città offre momenti piacevoli e cocktail unici. Organizza la tua VDW nel mese di ottobre e decidi a quale dei numerosi eventi, conferenze, seminari, incontri con designer, critici e curatori desideri partecipare.
VENICE DESIGN WEEK At its 7th edition, the Venice Design Week (VDW) presents to the public an opportunity to experience and interact with the world of design. The VDW has evolved into a point of reference and meeting where people interested in Design can exchange ideas and grow, bringing home new impulses, contacts and inspiration. This year we celebrate a new contest called Wearable Technologies. Starting with its displays in the Fashion Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo, Wearable Technologies will be one of the main themes for discussions during the meetings on 1st October 2016.

The Design Week is a time for meeting in a special atmosphere where the pleasure of beauty is the topic while cocktails are sipped. Plan your VDW in October and choose from the various events, conferences, workshops and meetings with the designers, and critics you will want to attend.

LIGHT EMPHASIZES LA LUCE SOTTOLINEA La luce sottolinea è una selezione dedicata al tema della luce, alla possibilità di modificare le atmosfere nell’interior design sottolineando volumi e forme. La luce crea particolari ombre e sottolinea oggetti e particolari architettonici. La selezione contempla due categorie: corpi illuminanti e la luce nei Musei. I progetti scelti verranno esposti all’hotel Saturnia & International dal primo al nove Ottobre 2016. Il sette ottobre vi sarà un convegno che approfondirà il tema all’interno di due strutture museali. Dopo il convegno sarà possibile incontrare i designer. I designer selezionati per la sezione corpi illuminanti sono: Daniele Balangero, Claudia Comunian, Orazio De Vita, Odoardo Fioravanti, Paolo Guidotto, Georg Kettele, Giulio Iacchetti, Alberto Lago, Stefano Lupicano e Sara Martinelli,

The light creates particular shadow effects and emphasizes the environment. The competition is split into two main categories: Contemporary Lamp/Lights and Light System in the Museums. The chosen projects are displayed at the Hotel Saturnia & International from the 1st - 9th

of October 2016. On October 7th it will be possible to attend a conference about the use of light in the museums with an opportunity to meet selected designers. THE COLORS OF LIGHT IN ARCHITECTURE visions of Peruvian architects

Light is the origin of everything, since the moment in which it hits the surfaces of buildings it outlines their profiles and, producing shadows, it senses their depth; briefly one might state that light is the generating essence of space. Light, in its scientific meaning, is defined as the part of the electromagnetic spectrum visible by the human eye, but the term light also takes on another meaning to return within the spiritual sphere. A physical phenomenon transformed in a transcendental phenomenon by the architecture. Tadao Ando maintains that: “Architecture catches the essence of light as, configuring an architectonic space, is nothing else but synthesizing and purifying the power of light”.
