FACADE ANALYSIS Considering the sub tropical climate that trichy experiences, most of the buildings are given light coloured finishes. Sun shades are a prominent and repeating element as the direct radiation from sun is least welcome for the climate. Sloping roofs are rarely seen, attributing again to the lack of long rainy season. Vertical and horizontal shading devices are used often for the windows. The post office building has used a feature wall sort of element at the facade with stone cut masonry. The food court building has lots of French windows that allow greater indoor outdoor Connectivity. The newly constructed building has a more typical and detailed way of facade treatment.
