About Ventana Contemporary Ibiza Ventana Contemporary Ibiza is a new artistic venture opened in the Marina Botafoch, Ibiza in June 2015. Art works and jewellery made by contemporary artists such as Anish Kapoor, Mariko Mori, Rebecca Horn, Enrico Castellani, Tatsuo Miyajima, Miguel Chevalier among others are on display at the location with the purpose of attracting new art connoisseurs to the island, provoking curiosity from the numerous visitors arriving on a seasonal basis, and educating contemporary art learning to the residents and local collectors. Ventana Contemporary is also collaborating with Ibiza Gran Hotel, by curating part of the artistic collection in the hotel’s garden and within the project HeART Ibiza. The collaboration aims to create a dialogue within the unique environment of HeART, interacting with the human-art performances created by Cirque du Soleil and with the music, enhancing the amazing cuisine experience proposed by the Adrià brothers and becoming part of the show. Miguel Chevalier, pioneer of Digital Art whose work involves the most innovative technology such as generative virtual reality installations and interactive 3D art has been invited as this year’s guest artist to create a site-specific project for HeART. The artist will show his work for the first time in Ibiza, presenting two breath-taking interactive shows running every night that are re-adapted to the HeART Ibiza environment, Liquid Pixels 2015 and Fractal Flowers 2015. Ventana Contemporary Ibiza aims to bring contemporary art to the island on many levels, integrating a rich cultural content to the wide range of entertaining experiences Ibiza has to offer.

ONGOING PROJECTS More interactive installations by Rafael Lozano Hemmer, Jeppe Hein and UVA contribute to make HeART a new spectacular place compared to other clubs and hotels. Interaction is the main concept of the collection as the spectator becomes part of the work. Each artwork doesn’t exist or cannot be perceived without a participating, or playing viewer. The collection pays homage to new technologies and prosperity. ONGOING PROJECTS -PASEO MARÍTIMO & IBIZA GRAN HOTEL Dan Graham’s pavilion Sagittarian Girls is installed in the Paseo Marítimo. Aimed to create a dialogue with the environment and the public, the two-way mirrored pavilion will be placed in front of the entrance of HeART to encompass the idea of merging artistic disciplines in a playful way, by touching on both visual art and architecture. The Red Slate Circle by Richard Long, dated 1978, is on show at the Ibiza Gran Hotel Garden till October 2015, highlighting the love for nature and spiritual side of the island.
