Aires da Serra Hotel is located in Torres Novas in the middle Tejo region which has a lot of fantastic things to explore. The history of this space is connected to the passion of two people and the fruit of that love! Once upon a time there was a couple of lovers. Hortense and Vasco. After dating for a few years they got married and had a baby boy they named Ana. In the mid 1960’s the couple, who lived in Lisbon, decided to build a house in their home town, Torres Novas. The house had everything: several bedrooms, two kitchens, two living rooms, a wine cellar, a games room, a sewing room so Hortense could work - since Hortense was what today we would call a fashion designer, a garden, and a swimming pool.
Vasco’s Little Farm, as it was called and became known, welcomed many people who joined the couple on countless evenings to play various games and socialize, glass in hand. Fifty years later it was the turn of their daughter Ana and her husband João to decide to give new life to the house where their parents and in-laws had received so many people. They created a hotel. After a period of construction, it finally opens its doors in April 2016. Accept our invitation and come discover a century dream house that we have transformed to welcome you with all comfort.
“Everything excellent about this hotel. Excellent quality of service, extremely comfortable rooms, perfect cleanliness. The decoration of the entire hotel is excellent with delightful details, you can see that everything was thought out and done with great taste. Breakfast is very good, with fresh products and a lot of variety. I appreciated the fact that every day there are different products from jams, juices, cakes and even bread.
“The location is very nice, a farm just outside Torres Novas. Quiet and beautifully decorated.
Another positive point is the friendliness and helpfulness of all employees and owners. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel”
“A small paradise of tranquility near the mountains, fabulous to regain energy from a hard year’s work. “Our room was very comfortable, with a beautiful view and the sound of the birds, divine. The 70’s design very elegant, harmonious and cozy.”
Simplicity with all the comforts, natural friendliness reserving the privacy of the guests, excellent breakfast adapted to my special dietary needs. As I was going to stay for many days they upgraded me to a back room with a balcony with mountain view and fridge which was an excellent idea! Safe place and impeccable cleanliness in covid time. I felt at home”.
“A very quiet place, well furnished, with a very comfortable room and a balcony facing the mountains with a very magnificent view “
More recently, in 2018, the family decided to extend it and build 4 more apartments and 3 rooms nearby, between the hotel and the event hall. These have already been in operation since May 2019. The new accommodations have a shabby chic decor (a style started in Britain in the 70s/80s of the last century) where you can choose to stay for short or long term periods. We also have two jacuzzis, as well as a spa, where you can relax to the taste of a massage, enjoy the jacuzzi or take a yôga and meditation or pilates class.
