Making my own path - Motamouth Jones
BORN JUNE 26 IN LITTLE ROCK ARKANSAS AND MOVED TO TACOMA WASHINGTON AT THE AGE OF 2, STAYED THERE FOR A WHILE THEN MOVED BACK DOWN SOUTH TO HINESVILLE GEORGIA AND RETURNED BACK TO WASHINGTON AT THE AGE OF 11. MOTAMOUTH JONES HAS BEEN RAPPING SINCE THE AGE OF 6 JUST MESSING AROUND AT FIRST WITH HIS OLDER BROTHERS BUT HE STARTED GETTING MORE INTO IT WITH HIS COUSIN'S (MARCIZ SIKKSTYLZ & TRACE DA FACE) AFTER HE SEEN KRISS KROSS JUMP VIDEO. HE LIKED HIP HOP EVEN THE MORE BECAUSE HIS NAME IS CHRIS AND THEY WERE ALSO YOUNG SO THAT GRABBED HIS ATTENTION. HIS OLDER COUSIN, VIZUALANTE HUSANE WOULD, HAVE A HUGE INFLUENCE IN HIS EARLY YEARS TEACHING HIM TO RECORD GOING BY THE NAME LIL K.P.. HUSANE ENCOURAGED HIM TO DROP THE LIL AND JUST GO BY K.P. AND IT WORKED.
AS HE GOT OLDER HE GOT IN A RAP GROUP CALLED (LIL TYME MAFIA) THEN SWITCHING HIS NAME TO SICCNESS HE WAS ABOUT 14 OR 15 AT THIS TIME. LATER ON MEMBERS OF (LIL TYME MAFIA) FORMED A GROUP CALLED (SO SIKK). THEY WERE A FORCE TO BE RECON WITH ARE LYRICAL ABILITY WITH WITH WITTY PUNCH LINE/TONGUE FLIPPING RAPS/ENERGETIC PERFORMANCES AND THAT FACT THAT EVERY GUY WANTED TO BE FROM SO SIKK. NOW BUILDING A EMPIRE SO SIKK HAD ALOT OF POTENTIAL AND IF SOCIAL MEDIA WAS AROUND DURING THESE YEARS THEY WOULD HAVE MADE IT SOME WHERE AS TIME WENT BY ,PEOPLE BEING PEOPLE, NO BAD BLOOD SPILLED THEY
HAD THERE DIFFERENCES AND THAT PART OF THE JOURNEY WAS OVER.
LATER ON HE WENT OFF TO FIND HIMSELF AS AN ARTIST AND JOINED A FEW CAMPS WHICH LANDED HIM WITH (ICON RECORDS) ON THIS LABEL. HE STARTED BUILDING HIS BUZZ AS (MOTAMOUTH JONES). HE THEN DUMBED HIS LYRICS DOWN AND MADE MORE RADIO STYLE MUSIC. SOME WOULD LOOK AT IT AS A BAD THING BUT IN HIS POINT OF VIEW IT WAS GOOD BECAUSE ALOT OF MY MUSIC BEFORE WAS VERY VIOLENT AND RAUNCHY SO WITH THIS HE LEARNED HOW TO DO MORE PARENT APPROVAL MUSIC. NOW MOTAMOUTH JONES IS ON HIS WAY TO THE TOP TAKING THE SKILLS HE LEARNED AND COMBINING THEM TO MAKE A SOUND NOT REALLY HEARD COMING OUT OF THE PNW (PACIFIC NORTHWEST). HE LEARNED FROM ALL THE WRONG WAYS HOW NOT TO DO IT SO NOW IT HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT WITH THE MOVES HE'S MAKING.
HE HAS STARTED A MOVEMENT THAT WAS BORN IN WASHINGTON AND NOW PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD ARE STARTING TO BE INTERESTED AND INVOLVED EVEN STARTED A CHAPTER IN CLEVELAND, OHIO & THE MOVEMENT IS CALLED K.O.E, KLOWNS OVER EVERYTHING, WHICH JONES AND VARIOUS ARTIST AND KULT FOLLOWING PAINT HALF THERE FACE BECAUSE THIS IS HOW THEY SEE THERE SELVES AS KLOWNS AND THE OTHER HALF AS THE WORLD SEEING THEM AS NORMAL PEOPLE. THEY DO THIS IN THE STYLE OF PLAYING CARDS FOR A METAPHOR OF THESE ARE THE CARDS THAT LIFE HAS DEALT US WITH JONES BEING THE RING LEADER, HE IS

Ver b'z Up: Who are you & w here are you from ? M ugsy: Ayye everybody my name is "Reyne Brady" (Pronounced Rain..You can thank my parents haha) AKA "Mugzy" (5 Elements Hip Hop Kido) From "Sydney Australia" (The Land Down Under) Home of the "Heath Ledger's, Hugh Jackman's, Crocodile Dundee's" and ofc the Hip Hop Kido's "Mugzy".
Ver b'z Up: What do you do & for how long?M ugsy: I became interested in hip-hop music and the culture of hip-hop when i was 14 so 2005 my early years in High School. Around that time i guess you could say i was a bit of a loner which caused me to get punk'd/bullied alot also my grades were failing an i had no avenue where i would be in life when i finished school so instead i bought myself an IPod an started listening to artists such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Tupac Eminem was the one i could related to the most (Even to this day) I know It sounds cliché because im a typical whiteboi myself but just the Aggression/ Anger in his wordplay/ lyric It kinda gave me a voice to say I Dont give a f* * * a platform to fight back an take no sh* * in this world. Starting Off i would drop down small rhymes in my workbook but i knew if i wanted to progress i would have to write full lyric songs Also i knew if i wanted to be known or respected by the general hip hop community who loves it as much as i do then i would have to do my homework take a trip back in time where it all started in the 70s of South Bronx and learn bit by bit
Ver b'z Up
What inspires me about the culture of hip hop is that it's the ONLY music form that you can express yourself in any way/ shape/ form possible You pick any other music genre Rock, Pop, Rnb etc etc Trust me they dont have the same effect that hip hop brings thats why i love it. I've been in the game for 14 years done 2 Albums (working on a 3rd atm), Radio Play/Magazine Articles WORLDWIDE, Fan base WORLDWIDE, Featured in Multiple Independent Films/TV Commercials. The List goes ON an ON an i havnt stopped yet Hip-Hop changed my life completely i'll rep it till the day i die i love it to much.....Saved my life.
Ver b'z Up: What does t he Underground Indust ry m ean t o you? M ugsy: The "Underground" is what has always driven the heart/soul through-out the culture of hip-hop...5 Elements (MCing, Djing, B-Boying, Graffiti) and the GOLDEN-RULE (Knowledge). I truly believe if more artists who decide to come into the (House of Hip Hop) should educate themselves before stepping in and learn where it came from, give respect/acknowledgement towards it. That's how we will keep it alive to what it once was
Ver b'z Up: There?s plent y of ot her t hings in t his w orld t o do? What ?s your alt ernat ives?M ugsy: Call me crazy ....."I dont have one"
Ver b'z Up: Who/ What w as your inspirat ion(s)? M ugsy: Hip Hop Artists who are my inspirations from (Day 1) and STILL to this day i listen too are 50 Cent, Rakim, Tupac, Eminem, NaS, DMX
