Mugsy joins the fight to keep Hip-Hop alive!!!
Born on the 22nd of January 1991 Mugzy had to fight through his adolescent years. Struggling with deep internal stress, he found inspiration in Eminem after his first encounter with Hip-Hop when he heard the song 'The Way I Am'. Mugzy felt that he could strongly relate to the lyrics in Eminem's songs & began to change his image to be a true representative of the Hip-Hop culture. As he developed his style and studied Hip-Hop, he found further inspiration from the legends: 2 Pac, Biggie, 50 Cent, DMX, & searched further into the roots of Hip-Hop to rediscover artists like Public Enemy, NWA & Nas.
Drawing inspiration from the masters of Hip-Hop & armed with the knowledge earned through years of hardship, Mugzy's rap speaks of truth. A raw truth. A truth that will resound with teenagers that have had to endure self doubt & lack of confidence. Mugzy emerged from the shadow through Hip-Hop & found a way to express himself through his music by embracing the culture. Mugzy's style is a blend of grit, raw lyrics, aggression and abrasiveness. Mugzy will tell it how it is. Based north of Sydney, Mugzy will not shy away from any challenge to perform on any stage. There are a lot of performers in the scene that prefer to stay in closed groups, but Mugzy is open to collaboration with all artists that are fighting for their dream & are willing to have a go in a spirit of mutual respect.
You can expect Mugzy to continue representing the Hip-Hop Culture, never backing away from any challenge well into the future. Stay Tuned!

WEST TEXAS COUNTRY ARTIST Michael Ray I stayed singing in the church at 5 years old, my biological dad was a singer and buddies with some DJs so I was exposed to music from birth. Grew up loving all genres, country, rock, listened to some thrash metal to southern rock to Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye, Luther, Aretha, BB King, you name it. Got my first guitar at 11 and it went from there writing songs and singing Merle Haggard, George Jones. Got into King George, Garth and all that, but can't stand this Florida Georgia line and Luke Bryan pop stuff. Started singing in my first band at 17. The song you been spinning is one I wrote for my mom, obviously.
I wrote it in 2001, but didn't sing it for her for years because it's about her dying. But usually, when I write a song it has to be something my brain Congress up with and wires on its own. I got woke up about 4 o'clock in the morning by George Jones' voice singing the chorus "mama used to sing" etc in my head, do I got up and wrote that down and went back to bed. Anyway, my mom beat lung cancer but then got pancreatic cancer. I was with her when she died, holding her hand, she spent her last 7 minutes of life being me to record the song. I finally got to go to Nashville and do it, and it's had a great response.

Mike G: Write, rap, act, produce beats and I'm a radio personality that's hosts my 2 shows #MikesGlobalMix and #ReelTalksWithMike Gizzle on #slaughtahouzeradio Verb'z Up: What does the Underground Industry mean to you? Mike G: It means a lot to people like myself, G. It's a place where u can shine if u put in the ground work, time and hustle into what your doing...whether its music, producing, dancing or shooting videos for artists.
"It's a place where you SHINE if you put in the ground work" Verb'z Up: There’s plenty of other things in this world to do… What’s your alternatives? Mike G: Well if it don't pop off in this music game, I'll always make music. But I'd also hope to land a national commercial or few, as well as a good role on TV or film. Iv got several things under belt already and I actively go to auditions a lot so I KNOW I'll land something good soon. And I'd like to take my radio shows to that next level and dive into media personality work more! Verb'z Up: Who/What was your inspiration(s)? Mike G: I'm inspired by people like 2pac, UGK, hell...Howard Stern. But mostly by people who have been through the darkest, hardest moments in life. And STILL get up and go at it...

Mike G: Honestly, I feel I can elevate myself in the radio game and continue to make music. So if I can land a steady gig doing radio and continue doing my live performance shows...I'd be happy getting money like that, as well as sell my music online or in stores.
"Don't be a piece of FECES!" Verb'z Up: Everyone is different‌ What do you think it means to be successful? Mike G: I get everyone wants to be rich and live in a mansion or some stuff like that, but if I can make money selling my music, getting paid for performances, and to do radio, I'd die happy. Because with those forms of income I know I'd be HAPPY doing it while being able to take care of my family and bills. THATS success in MY eyes. Being happy while doing what you do... Verb'z Up: If you could spread one message to every single person in the WORLD, What would it be? Mike G: Don't be piece of feces...I can't say the other word, but you guys get my drift. I spent my adolescent years being selfish and unfocused and I came to realize I should have done lots of things differently. And because of that I lost vital time I can't get back, messed up things I can't fix, and its because I acted like a piece of feces. But I'v come a long way and I can say I see things in a different way now. I feel I have found my niche....so, Don't be a piece of feces!

Verb'z Up: What do you do & for how long? Michael: I've done many jobs, but was a contractor almost 30 years, that job took its toll on my body and I've had 6 spine surgeries because of it, so now I only do music. I have been performing since I was 5 years old, beginning in the church. Verb'z Up: What does the Underground Industry mean to you? Michael: As far as in the indoor country industry, it gives me the opportunity to write and perform country music the way it when I get up, and the way I feel it should still be. It gives me the opportunity to express myself uninhibitedly.
"Momma used to sing" Verb'z Up: There’s plenty of other things in this world to do‌ What’s your alternatives? Michael: Really, at this point, there's not much for me but music due to my back, but if I couldn't do music, I guess I'd have to do something in the construction industry. Verb'z Up: Who/What was your inspiration(s)? Michael: Oh man, there is so much that inspires me. Country music, like Rap, is about life experience, observation world events. So I find inspiration everywhere. My influences come from many genres, many people, from my mother to my wife. Some of the most iconic country and rock artists as well as jazz, blues etc, have all had their part in shaping my own sound and music. Verb'z Up: In your honest opinion, Do you think that Underground/Indie music is better than Mainstream music? Michael: In as much as indie artists have a great deal more freedom to be more original than mainstream artists, then yes. I believe all music/art has a place and purpose, but just the sheer freedom and emotion in indie music makes it better.

The Interview Michael Ray Robinson Verb'z Up: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Micheal: Lol, in a nursing home if I keep going the way I am. No, I hope to be performing, but if not, I hope to be writing, producing, maybe finding and helping shape new artists. But somehow having my hand in the business in some regard. Verb'z Up: Everyone is different‌ What do you think it means to be successful? Michael: That's the big question. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want some recognition and money for what I do, but I've told many people, if you're doing music for Fame and fortune, you're liable to get your heart broke, for me, success would be making a really good living doing this thing I love. They say "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life."
"Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life!" Verb'z Up: If you could spread one message to every single person in the WORLD, What would it be? Michael: The message I would like to spread most would have to be about our communalities, loving each other, something I feel is an extremely important message today. If people would focus more on how we are alike, instead of how we're different, I think we could make great changes.

What's The Verb? The Dygital Era This past 15+ years have been compromised ever since the internet gave birth to a generation that believes the internet is the way around a label. The truth of the matter is: more labels have interest in cyber sites than the unwitting artist would like to belive. Take Reverbnation & SoundCloud for example... Sony, Warner, & Universal all have personal interest (meaning ownership percentages) in those particular websites as well as many others. All this means to the artist who is naive is that they personally pay for all all production, advertisement, and all seeking of investors and sponsors on their own time and dime!!!
"Cyber Tymes" Cyber Tymes are coming to an end my friend. Regardless of how many Russ, G-Easy, Logic, & Chance The Rapper types have emmerged as of recent times. They have been working on it since the BEGINNING of Cyber Tymes. The record labels have picked up on this and dug into where their losing their money and where they can make it. Is this a BAD THING?... Or a GOOD THING?... That all depends on your level of dedication and resources, and need to be heard. WHERE DO YOU STAND? INDEPENDANT: You have resource's and know your direction for funding and sponsors. You have distribution & production line-up on a PROFESSIONAL LEVEL. So why invole someone else in your pocket? LABEL: You have a very developed talent, but thats what your limitations are. You have a limited time scheme to work with, limited rescources, & believe the internet is some how magically going to make this happen without the work that the labels are willing to TAKE ON FOR YOU?... SO IT'S UP TO YOU!!!!: Shooot yourself in the foot or shoot yourself in the WALLET....
