Mit LUMEN findet diese Faszination ein fotografisches Zuhause: Am Gipfel des Kronplatzes angesiedelt, sind 1800 Quadratmeter vollinhaltlich der Fotografie der Berge gewidmet. Auf vier Stockwerken macht LUMEN die Geschichte der Bergfotografie von ihren Anfängen bis hin zur Gegenwart ebenso wie die Kunst von Bergfotografen aus aller Welt erfahrbar.
Il fascino per la montagna è intatto da tempo immemorabile. Con LUMEN, questo fascino trova una sua casa fotografica: sulla cima di Plan de Corones, i 1800 metri quadrati del museo sono infatti interamente dedicati alla fotografia di montagna. Negli spazi che si snodano per quattro piani, LUMEN rende tangibile la storia della fotografia di montagna dagli esordi ad oggi, e l‘arte dei fotografi di montagna di tutto il mondo.
Man’s fascination with mountains has been unbroken as long as anyone can remember. LUMEN gives this fascination a photographic home: located at the summit of the region Kronplatz, 1,800 square metres are dedicated to mountain photography. Spanning four floors LUMEN offers the possibility to experience the history of mountain photography from its beginnings until the present as well as displaying the art of mountain-photographers from all over the world.

Der Programmatik des Hauses entsprechend, Unterhaltung mit fotografischem Anspruch zu verbinden, setzt LUMEN neue Maßstäbe in der Präsentation von Bergfotografie. Dank der Unterstützung nationaler und internationaler Partner wie TAP, Durst, National Geographic, Red Bull Illume und Alinari konnte so ein spannender Parcours geschaffen werden, der Besucherinnen und Besuchern neue Blicke auf das „alte“ Thema Berg ermöglicht.

In linea con la filosofia della casa – combinare l’intrattenimento con la qualità fotografica – LUMEN stabilisce nuovi standard nella presentazione della fotografia di montagna. Questo principio è chiaramente visibile nella realizzazione scenografica delle sale espositive e nel concetto museale. Grazie al sostegno di partner nazionali e internazionali come TAP, Durst, National Geographic, Red Bull Illume e Alinari è stato possibile creare un percorso coinvolgente, che offre ai visitatori una nuova prospettiva sul “vecchio” tema della montagna.
To see, to be astonished, to be filled with enthusiasm To fulfill the objective of the house, which is to combine entertainment with photographic approach, LUMEN rewrites the rules for the presentation of mountain photography. It is shown in the scenography of the exhibition rooms as well as in the concept regarding the contents of the establishment. In partnership with well renowned TAP, Durst, National Geographic, Red Bull Illume and Alinari, it was possible to create an exciting course offering visitors a new perspective on the „old“ topic of mountains.
