Considerations for addressing inequitable distribution of resources and access

District 6 faces numerous challenges around inequitable distribution of resources and access to housing, transit, and environmental amenities. Many residents in the flats face significant threats to their housing security, health, and employment. However, there are clear opportunities to utilize vacant land for housing and commercial purposes, improve transit connectivity to connect residents with improved resources, and start planning now for climate change in order to create a resilient community. With a strong network of local organizations to support these efforts, the District can enact bold improvements to fulfill the community vision.
