what is there to love… Abingdon Our family LOVED all there is about Abingdon, Virginia. We enjoyed lush trails and breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Highlands which captured the grandeur of Abingdon, making this nook of southwestern Virginia impossible not to love. Our family biked and rode by horseback along the Virginia Creeper Trail and enjoyed eclectic shops in the downtown area. -Holly, Virginia Beach, VA
There are differing levels of LOVE I found in Luray and Page County. From the highest mountain peak to the Shenandoah River and even to the magical world that lies beneath, it’s easy to discover just how deep my love can go. My wife and I enjoyed the tremendous views of the cascading waterfalls and wooded hollows at Shenandoah National Park. We also enjoyed Skyline Drive. It is a 105-mile drive that’s listed as a National Historic Landmark. We rekindled our love for the great outdoors when we ventured underground to the Luray Caverns to encounter the sparkling wonder of Dream Lake. The wife really loved that place! -Randy, Memphis, TN
Norfolk My husband and I were looking for a place to vacation that was close to the beach but still had a metropolitan feel to it. We found that in Norfolk, Virignia. Nestled at the meeting point of the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean, Norfolk provided an endless array of water activities, culturally diverse attractions and unforgettable entertainment day and night. In addition to watching a theater performance, we were lucky enough to stumble across a local musician’s marvelous talent. We took delight in the eclectic restaurants found alongside Norfolk’s bustling streets, and bask in the breathtaking views of the Elizabeth River that stole our hearts for good. -Chris, Beaumont, TX
