Reflection
This semester was characterized by my being introduced to the use of many new applications with their associated functions. It is this opening of mind to the many options and possibilities in digital design that I consider the greatest value of this course since I had not had any exposure to the given programs beside Adobe Photoshop to which I’d had limited interaction. Resulting from non school related pressures this semester was indeed a challenging one but each DDM session proved rewarding as objectives made sense and were clearly useful. I learnt tracing and manipulation of 2D images, the construction and embellishment of 3D models and the fusion of 2D into 3D and vice versa. Integrating the above is the more important, overarching principle of layout and presentation such that the images produced might be made to communicate.
