IVETTE DELTORO (Caroline)
is thrilled to be back on the City Lights stage after most recently appearing in The E l e p hant M an ( D u c h e s s / Pinhead) and the developmental workshop production of Dealing Dreams ( N o r a ) . P r e v i o u s appearances at City Lights include Truce: A Christmas Wish from the Great War (Clara Krieger), Amadeus (Ensemble) and Coney Island Christmas (Evie Slotnick). She has also appeared in Epic Immersive's Matthew Briar and the Age of Resurrection (Isabela Martinez) at History San Jose. She is a graduate of the Foothill Theatre Conservatory and serves as casting and administrative assistant at City Lights.
DAVIED MORALES (Anthony)
is a rapper and actor who has performed in numerous school plays and musicals at Castillero Middle School, Pioneer High School and, most recently, Foothill College where he received his AA in theatre arts. Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for I and You. She studied Southern literature and drama at Emory University and dramatic writing at NYU’s Tisch School where she received a Reynolds Program Graduate Fellowship in Social Entrepreneurship. Her work has been commissioned, produced, and developed at companies across the U.S. including South Coast Rep (Emilie, Silent Sky), the Kennedy Center (The Amazing Adventures of Dr. Wonderful And Her Dog!), the O’Neill, Denver Center, Berkeley Rep, Shotgun Players, TheatreWorks, Crowded Fire, San Francisco Playhouse, Marin Theatre Company, Synchronicity, Olney Theatre, Geva and more. Her work is published at Playscripts (I and You, Exit, Pursued by a Bear and Toil and Trouble) and Samuel French (Emilie). She is a playwright in residence at the Playwrights Foundation and a proud Dramatists Guild member. She is from Atlanta, Georgia and lives in San Francisco. laurengunderson.com
NOËLLE GM GIBBS (Director) is
the producing artistic director of Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory (PVTC), where she has worn many hats over the past nine years, including associate artistic director, c h i l d r e n’s c o n s e r v a t o r y d i r e c t o r, c h o r e o g r a p h e r, producer, production manager and designer. Favorite PVTC
directing credits include Proof, Persephone, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Distracted. Noëlle has also worked with TheatreWorks, Magic Theatre, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Arabian Shakespeare Festival, Dragon Productions and the Long Wharf Theatre. She teaches acting and directs at Crystal Springs Uplands School and was the proud recipient of the Theatre Bay Area TITAN Award in directing in 2014. Noëlle received BAs in theatre and dance from UC San Diego, studied at the Academia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy and continues to explore ideas of collaboration and audience engagement in her work.
LAUREN HOWRY ( S t a g e
Manager) is happy to be back at City Lights for I and You after stage managing last season’s M. Butterfly. Other recent Bay Area credits include Valley of the Heart (production assistant, assistant stage manager, San Jose Stage), Clybourne Park (stage manager, Palo Alto Players), West Side Story (assistant stage manager, Broadway By the Bay), The Columnist (stage manager, Dragon Productions). When not at a theater, Lauren works as the performing arts coordinator for the wind ensemble Quinteto Latino. She also holds numerous stage management and performance credits in Virginia where she graduated with honors in theatre from Washington and Lee University.
NICK KUMAMOTO (Resident
Lighting Designer) is in his fourth season as resident lighting and projection designer here at City Lights. He is also the master electrician for Opera San Jose and Palo Alto Players, and regularly works as a lighting and video designer for Palo Alto Players and as a lighting designer for Children’s Musical Theatre of San Jose and West Bay Opera. In 2014, he received the Leigh Weimers Emerging
Artist Award for his work as a lighting designer.

Costume Shop. A graduate of the Foothill Theatre Conservatory, George has also appeared and worked with numerous other Bay Area companies including TheatreWorks, Golden Thread, Crowded Fire and Dragon Productions. He also works in film and television.
MIRANDA WHIPPLE (Properties
Designer) has designed props for City Lights productions of West Side Story, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Elephant Man. She has also worked at Palo Alto Players and designed props at the Pear Theatre. In 2014, Miranda graduated from Cal State University, Fullerton, with a degree in theatre arts. Her stage management background has served her well on such shows as A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Diary of Anne Frank and Hair.
LISA MALLETTE (Executive Artistic
Director) is in her fifteenth season at City Lights and twelfth as executive artistic director, and she is thrilled to see the company continuing such dramatic artistic and administrative momentum. Lisa has appeared onstage at City Lights in the world premiere of Clouds Hill, String of Pearls, Dead Man Walking, August: Osage County and The Language Archive. She has directed Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, A… My Name Is Alice, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Full Monty, Hair, First Person Shooter, Rent, Distracted, Aphrodisiac, Spacebar (world premiere), The Rocky Horror Show (2013), Amadeus, Build, West Side Story and The Elephant Man. Lisa is a member of the Theatre Bay
Area's board of directors and chairs the Theatre Services Committee. She is also the 2014 recipient of the Silicon Valley Creates Artist Laureate Award. A native of San Francisco, she lives on the Peninsula with her two beautiful daughters, Sophie and Olivia.
KIT WILDER (Associate Artistic Director, Grantswriter) is a graduate of Santa Clara University, has received training in London from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and with members of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and has worked for innumerable companies in the Bay Area and beyond as an actor, director and fight director. For City Lights, Kit has directed many productions including String of Pearls, Wise Women, Assassins, The Waiting Room, Angels in America Part One: Millennium Approaches, The Goat, Angels in America Part Two: Perestroika, A Few Good Men, The Who's Tommy, Frank Langella's Cyrano, Equus, Hamlet, 44 Plays for 44 Presidents, Coney Island Christmas, Handle with Care and the world premiere of Truce: A Christmas Wish from the Great War (which he co-wrote with Jeffrey Bracco). He has acted in Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show (2003), Clouds Hill, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Full Monty, The Three Musketeers, Art and M. Butterfly (2016 San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics’ Circle Award nomination).
ANNE YOUNAN (Development &
Business Manager) has been a member of the City Lights team for the past eighteen years as special events coordinator, box office technician, company manager, box office and business manager, and now development and business manager. For Anne and City Lights, it all began 26 years ago when she appeared in A Girl’s Guide to Chaos, followed by Mrs. California, Remembrance, Joined at the Head, Definitely Not a Christmas Carol,
Nutcracker This! and Circles - all before taking time off to have her lively daughter, Sarah, in 2000. Upon her return, she appeared in the Spotlight Series presentation of Birth and, most recently, Dead Man Walking. In 2004 she added her spirited son, Jake, to the fold at home, and now relishes her time at City Lights as quality “adult time.”
RON GASPARINETTI (Production
Manager, Technical Director, Resident Set Designer) originally hails from Newark, New Jersey, has been a Bay Area resident for the past two decades, and has designed almost every CLTC show since 2011. His design work has also been seen at Palo Alto Players, Dragon Productions, Pear (Avenue) Theatre, Los Altos Stage Company, Silicon Valley Shakespeare Company, the Jewel Theatre Company, and several other theatre companies in the Bay Area. Ron's scenic designs for Amadeus and Truce: A Christmas Wish from the Great War right here at City Lights garnered him TBA Award nominations for Outstanding Scenic Design in 2014 and 2015. thesetguy.com
REBECCA WALLACE (Marketing
Director) is a writer, actor and former longtime Bay Area newspaper journalist. Most recently, she was the arts and entertainment editor at the Palo Alto Weekly, working with a team of other scribes to write about theatre, music, dance and visual art in the Palo Alto-Stanford area. During that time, she was chosen for a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship with the NEA’s Arts Journalism Institute at Columbia University. On stage, Rebecca has performed with many local theatre companies and in a few smoky Hungarian bars - she spent a few years in Budapest, where she sang with a country-western band. She now focuses on using her writing experience to help City Lights tell its world of stories.
