Today Stelton has 6 different design families
In 1960 Niels Stellan Høm and Carton Madelaire founded a trading company called Stelton. They started out with sports shoes and furniture, but soon they opened their minds towards stainless steel tableware. After a few years, a new managing director, Peter Holmblad, provided the Stelton brand with a hole new graphic identity. Futhermore he asked his stepfather, Arne Jacobsen, to design a new series of tableware for Stelton. In 1967 this resulted in the launch of Cylinda-Line. In 1977 Erik Magnussen, who had joined Stelton, designed his famous, iconic vacuum jug – now called EM77. For nearly 30 years, Peter Holmblad and Erik Magnussen developed Stelton, manufacturing danish design. In 2004 Peter Holmblad sold the company to Michael
