Three Great DIY Festival Crafts You Can Make Here are three easy and effective crafts for you to make to get festival ready.
Floral Crown Flower headbands are a must have accesory for anyone attending a festival and it is so simple to make your own, allowing you to pick the colours and types of flowers you want in your headpiece. Follow these simple steps to make your own.
You will need: - A SELECTION OF FLOWER BUNCHES (HERE) - A HAIRBAND (HERE) Seperate the bunches into individual flowers. Take a flower and wind the stem around the hairband, securing it, until the whole stem has been wound around. Repeat this for the rest of your flowers, alternating between your different types so that the colours are spread out.
Continue until you have filled up your hair band and completed your desired look.
You can mix and match your choice of flowers or you can repeat the same type over. Above are examples of just two of the types of flower headbands you can make.
DIY Festival Sunglasses
You will need: - A PAIR OF SUNGLASSES - YOUR CHOICE OF FLOWERS (HERE) - ADHESIVE PEARLS/CRYSTALS (HERE) - GLUE (HERE) - SCISSORS
Method: 1. Cut your chosen flowers off of their stems using a scissors. Add glue to the back of a flower and press it to your sunglasses where you would like it to stick. Repeat for the rest of your flowers.
2. Take your pearls/ crystals and stick them onto your sunglasses, using a drop of glue as well as the adhesive already on the back to reinforce them.
Feather Headband
You will need: - FEATHER TRIM (HERE) - TRIM TO MATCH (HERE) - CORD (HERE) - CORD TOGGLE (HERE) - FEATHER BUNCH (HERE) - HOT GLUE GUN (HERE)
Method: 1. Measure and cut both your feather and matching trim to the length you would like, leaving extra trim on each side for the cord to be attached. Take your hot glue gun and carefully apply the glue to the back of the trim and press it onto the bottom of your feather trim.
2. Take one end of the trim and glue the end of one piece of cord to it as shown in the picture. Fold the cord back and glue it again to secure it. Repeat for the other side.
3. Take your feather bunch and cut the tops off of the wire stems.
4. Place them at intervals along your trim and glue them into place. Take another piece of your trim and glue this over the feathers to secure them.
5. Now all that is left to do is to take your two pieces of cord and thread them through your cord toggle, placing a drop of glue at the ends of them to hold them together and to stop them from fraying.
Remember you can add in as many or as little feathers as you want, depending on how a big of a headband you want.
