The Christmas edition again! How does this come around so quickly?

As we say goodbye to 2022, please remember the members (and some former members) we have sadly lost this year and spare a thought for their friends and family at this time. The numbers attending Thursday meetings have really picked up recently and the club is very busy. I'm sure the wonderful home-cooked lunches are one of the biggest draws we have to attract attendance. So please note and thank the kitchen volunteers who have worked tirelessly to provide these meals for us each week. Our thanks also to Ian and his team on the bar for every session. We have had a surprising number of new members join the club. Please welcome them and help them settle into our ways. We celebrated our 34th Birthday at Duquesa Golf last month with a dinner dance with music by Helena Paul. More than 50 of us enjoyed the food, the free wines flowed and everyone danced the evening away. Lots of photos are available on FaceBook and the ICE website, thanks to Margaret Loughran and Sue Potter. Last Saturday was our Festive Fair. Thanks to all who took part in the various activities (mostly fun and some very silly) and for all the donations we received for the cakes table and the bottles tombola. A successful day again. Coming up we have a trip to Malaga to see the lights and, of course, our Christmas Lunch, provided by Brenda and her team. Book your tickets as soon as possible, as they are limited and selling quickly. A few events planned for the new year. Check the notice boards and our Facebook page, as well as the website theiceclub.es for updates. You can also keep informed at our Thursday morning meetings held every week at 11.30am upstairs in the clubhouse. Whatever you are doing and wherever you are spending Christmas this year, I wish you all a happy Festive Season and Happy and Healthy New Year.
