ABOUT ME
EXTRACT
2016
I am Industrial Designer, but I have spent most of my career as Graphic Designer and Illustrator Artist because that is what really excites me. From Street-Art Culture, designing brands for apparel to illustrated books for young people, I have always tried to nourish in different areas and forms of communication, so I can apply them in the projects that I get involved. I want to grow and develop in an environment where Creativity -or the use of it- is key to generate feelings, improve processes or practices. I consider myself a self-demanding person, reflected by a sense of responsibility, commitment and flexibility in carrying out any work I am asked for; always willing to learn new things and relearn what I could have forgotten over time.

FREELANCE DESIGNER “Every time I can”
MEDIA & DESIGN MANAGER/ PHOTOGRAPHER Planks Clothing Chile 2012 - 2014
DELI ATTENDANT Vail Resorts - USA. Dec. 2011 - Mar. 2012
Since I learned the use of digital tools in 10th Grade, I have done various kinds of work (mainly in graphic design). Nowadays this is where I try to explain and teach clients that the “image” of their brand or project, is not made only for aesthetic, but for a purpose: to be consistent with what they want to communicate and deliver to the public.
Born as a business project with friends and our interest in extreme winter sports, we created the official representation in our country for the apparel and accessories brand Planks Clothing (United Kingdom) . There, I was responsible for planning, coordinating and designing content for the various media used. Also the Photographic production for products and photo-shoots for sponsored athletes.
Through a J-1 Visa exchange program, I worked as Deli Attendant, consisting of the attention of customers, takes orders and preparation of foods, such as sandwiches and coffee at a cafe inside the Hotel Keystone Lodge & Spa located in Keystone Resort. I highlight this experience because it gave me the tools and confidence to speak in English more fluently in a social and professional scenario, as well as being able to work under pressure in a very dynamic environment, where being structured was key to deliver orders to customers appropriately and efficiently.
DRAWING TEACHER Verbo Divino School Mar. 2011 - Aug. 2014
Project that I presented to the school which I graduated, consisting in a workshop for students from 6th to 12th Grade, teaching various techniques and drawing tools focused in Comic Books and Illustration. In charge of 10-15 students, the workshop was focused in Character Design and the use of brainstorming or mash-ups exercises to gain confidence and develop each student their style of drawing.

Despite my Degree, I have worked in various areas of design. Here I include some as a Freelance Designer, like others that were conducted as part of my studies at Diego Portales University.

logos Fun Fact: I learned to use Macromedia Freehand in the 10th Grade. From there I love vectors; as if my hand could fulfill the dream of drawing lines perfectly. Introducing yourself to the world as a logo can tell a lot about ourselves, as well could be interpreted in a way that we do not necessarily want. Therefore, I am very emphatic that not only is the client who have to feel represented in the “image, you must also have the ability to communicate in the same manner to the public.

NEST CHAIR As its name implies, this chair is conceptually the same as a bird nest; using waste material as filler (Polypropylene chip), a container element (red hose) and a support (plywood structure). This project was realized in my sophomore year of Industrial Design, with the premise of designing an object from waste materials to be presented for a contest supported by Remade In Chile.

Unforgettable Chilean women This is illustrated dictionary of the most emblematic women throughout the country’s history. This book aims to provoke interest of young people in a thematic often dry, distant and made with unattractive visual languages - History. Using graphic resources and fun facts, it is a book that surprises every time it is read. Project made in College, in which I made three collaborations. Nowadays the book is published by Confin Editions.

the photo+graph project “We often become characters to perform those challenges that we can not do from ourselves.” - Myself. Collaborations, Mash-Ups, Covers, etc. I have always liked the power of “Mixture” as this refreshes the vision of something. This project was born from that Mixture; an exploratory proposal on the constructed narrative that exists in the reality of photography, as the fantasy delivered by illustration, hence the name. Using Instagram as a source and diffusion space, I work through an alter-ego (@Steallustrator), stealing pictures from other accounts and subsequently intervene to generate a new message. I tag the owner in order to give them credit and seek a dialogue of “before and after” in the picture.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Personal Photography I have always been attracted by the way the directors capture the attention of the audience in his films. Not only for the “moment but more from the angles and how they potentiated the message. But it was not until early 2012 that I started to build my way into photography. Portraying the exact moment or building a story around the subject in the picture. Here is a brief summary of what I like to photograph from a more casual setting.

SKETCHES I’ve always used drawing as a primary tool for the study and development of projects. I think the sketching process facilitates the visualization of projects when they are in their early stage and are also a tool of representation faster and “warmer” than the rendering of 3D modeling.
