Did you know that the skin is the largest organ of our body? Various services to maintain the health and appearance of this vital organ are offered at Natural Image Skin Center, LLC in Livingston. Today’s technology has enhanced some of the newer procedures of cosmetic dermatology, such as body contouring. Dr. Nicole Rocca and Dr. Stephen Nervi head this group, along with two Physician Assistants and an aesthetician who work with patients and utilize three procedures to improve a specific body area.
The most popular procedure is Coolsculpting®. This service targets specific areas of fat, such as love handles or excess abdominal fat. Though clients cannot expect to lose weight, they may find that they have gone down a size in clothing. Typically, clients see good results after two sessions. The results are intended to last indefinitely, with targeted fat cells destroyed, but clients should maintain an ideal weight to reap maximum benefits.
While Coolsculpting® reduces body fat, the second service, Emsculpt®, builds muscle by stimulating electromagnetic energy to increase muscle tone. Popular targeted areas include the abdomen and buttocks. With this service, customers usually require four to six sessions to achieve the desired look. Exilis Ultra® is a procedure that uses ultrasound and radiofrequency for skin tightening. This service is very effective for sagging skin in the chin, face, eyes, or abdomen. Maximum results usually occur in four or five sessions. A very comfortable procedure—similar to a hot stone massage—Exilis Ultra® is often used to complement Coolsculpting® to tighten sagging skin.
