Station Road Ditton Priors
This scheme consists of 7 homes to rent and has the capacity to house 28 local people in need of affordable housing. The site was acquired from Shropshire Council. COMPLETION DATE: December 2010 I was born in Ditton and was living in a three bed house in the village. I wanted to downsize but remain local. I was so pleased when I got the bungalow as I love living here and I already knew my neighbour as we went to school together. Mrs Dorothy Evans, Resident.
Steve Bull of Wolverhampton Wanderers officially opened the scheme.

Ditton Priors Parish Council identified a need for a housing needs survey in the Parish Plan. In 2006 a survey was carried out and 7 affordable houses were identified as being required. South Shropshire Housing approached the Parish Pouncil with an identified site and a proposal. The Parish Council were involved at each step of the way and now 7 wonderful homes are available to local people to rent from South Shropshire Housing. All have tenants with very strong links to the local community. Ditton Priors Parish Council.
