Mulvihill Drive boasts one of Vicksburg’s garden spots. Built in 1908 by Harris Dickson, noted attorney, judge, war correspondent and author. This month’s featured home was designed for gracious entertaining. Dickson wrote for Colliers magazine and The Saturday Evening Post, and he needed the home’s large foyer and grand porches to entertain his guests, many of whom came from as far away as Washington, D.C. In 1958, the home was purchased by DP and Betty Jeanne Waring. Since 1989 it has been the home of their daughter Natalie and her husband Bobby. They have devoted themselves to maintaining and enhancing the beauty of this classic residence.
