Killarney is a residential neighbourhood located in Southeast Vancouver. The project aims to reduce Urban Heat Island Effect through tree planting in the private yards and public lawn. The design program includes two parts: introducing movable planters and the community sharing program. The movable planters are flexible and sustainable which can be used for both planting and recreation. The project is viewed as a pilot project at the site and can be further developed at larger scales.

As urbanization spreads, Nantou Ancient City becomes a typical urban village in Shenzhen where people are stressed by social inequality and poor stormwater management. Several actions are proposed to the village including ancient building preservation, turning private condominium into public space, and planting with native plants. The highlight of the project is the sponge terraces which are important in offering public Proposed Land Use [Scale 1:2500]

Foodie’s Destination is a waterfront urban plaza designed for the current East Park where is adjacent to False Creek. It is believed that people will be attracted by the diverse experience related to food. The site is for both human and non-human as plantings can be a great food source for animals and insects. As an example, the planter platforms at the community garden are one of the focused designs. Vegetables and fruits planted Proposed Material Sections [Scale 1:100]
