Serena Williams models hand painted T-shirt of AndrĂŠ Leon Talley
In 2010, artist Victor-John Villanueva collaborated with AndrÊ Leon Talley to create a line of limited edition hand-painted T-shirts which featured portraits of fashion notables such as Glenn O’Brien, Lynn Yaeger, and Olivier Zahm.

Villanueva began using beads to design wearable portraits characterized by his sense of color and whimsy. His creations have been sold in boutiques and galleries in Manhattan, Williamsburg, and East Hampton, as well as online at Fab.com and 3ptpop.com.

VICTOR-JOHN VILLANUEVA A Native New Yorker born to Filipino immigrants, artist Victor-John Villanueva’s penchant for fashion and aesthetic are informed by New York City, the Pop Art movement, and his residency in Japan. He is the Art Director at New York City Opera and has lectured at The School of Visual Arts, his alma mater.
