what is your water pressure like? You can make a big difference to how powerful your tap or shower is by choosing the right type of appliance for the water pressure you have. You can check your water pressure yourself using a pressure gauge but it may be easier and safer to call in a professional instead.

At Victoria Plumb all of our showers and taps are manufactured to the highest possible standards, with a range of options to choose. what water system do you have? UK homes are generally built with one of three types of water system. Unvented hot water system - A water cylinder is heated by an immersion heater or 1 2

Combination boiler - A boiler with no tanks or water cylinders designed to heat water as and when you use it. Combination boilers generally provide the highest possible water pressure and are compatible with a shower mixer which provides hot water on demand. These are usually set to operate between about 0.8 to 1.5 bar*. Gravity system - Usually a cold water tank in the loft space and water cylinder in the airing cupboard, sometimes incorporate a pump. A basic guide to the pressure delivered is the distance between the bottom of the loft tank and the tap or shower.
