wir wenden uns mit diesem Jahreskatalog direkt an die vielen Badmintonspieler weltweit und möchten diese Gelegenheit nutzen, hiermit auf ein Thema aufmerksam zu machen, das uns allen sehr am Herzen liegt. In den aktuellen Nachrichten gibt es immer wieder Berichterstattungen von unterschiedlichsten Formen von Rassismus. Erst das vergangene Jahr 2015 hat für Europa im Besonderen gezeigt, dass Rassismus in unserer Gesellschaft leider immer noch allgegenwärtig ist. Aufgrund dieser Aktualität des Themas möchten wir eine neue Kampagne gegen Rassismus ins Leben rufen, um gemeinsam ein Zeichen im Badminton zu setzen. Der „Fair-PlayGedanke“ ist ein elementarer Grundsatz im täglichen Miteinander und unterstreicht die Bedeutsamkeit des gegenseitigen Respekts. Auch in unserem Sport hat Rassismus jeglicher Art keinen Platz! Badminton ist eine so großartige und vielseitige Sportart, die jeder Mensch ausüben kann. Betrachtet man unsere Sportart etwas genauer, dann fällt auf, dass es eine der wenigen Sportarten überhaupt ist, bei der Frauen und Männer gemeinsam in einer Disziplin antreten. Aber nicht nur das Mixed, sondern allgemein eignet sich Badminton für Jeden. Dabei sind das Alter, das Geschlecht, die sexuelle Orientierung, die Hautfarbe oder die Religion vollkommen unwichtig. Allein diese lebhafte Vielfalt im Sport widerspricht jeder Ausgrenzung von Menschen. Dies hat uns auf die Idee für diese Kampagne gebracht und wir würden uns freuen, wenn auch ihr daran aktiv teilnehmt. Nur zusammen können wir ein klares Zeichen setzen und etwas bewegen. Gemeinsamkeit und Identifizierung machen stark und können etwas zum Positiven verändern. Euer VICTOR Team

We are appealing to all badminton players directly and worldwide through our annual catalogue. We would like to draw your attention to a subject of great interest globally. Racism is still a common theme in the news today and 2015 statistics show how prevalent it still is within our society. Inspired by the issue, our team has decided to start a campaign to fight racism for our sport. Fair play and respect are key underlying principles within badminton and therefore racism has no place within our sport. Badminton is a sport that anyone can play. In fact, badminton is one of few sports where men and women can compete together within the same discipline. But gender aside, everyone should be encouraged to play Badminton, no matter what age, gender, religion, sexuality or skin colour. And denying someone the opportunity to play our beloved sport due to one of these factors is simply unacceptable in today‘s society. So we came up with the idea of this campaign and hope that you will join and follow us. Let‘s take the opportunity and show a united front in the stand against racism and show it has no place on our badminton courts. Together we can make a difference. Your VICTOR team

Die Federn werden zuerst gewaschen und getrocknet. Danach gilt es die Federn richtig zu sortieren. Dafür stehen innovative, elektronische Sortiermaschinen zur Verfügung, die jede einzelne Feder genau vermessen. Nachdem die Federn zugeschnitten worden sind, werden sie wiederholt kontrolliert. Der Kork, der direkt aus Portugal angeliefert wird, wird mit einem PU-Überzug versehen. Für die Federfixierung werden 16 L öcher in den Kork gestanzt, in die die speziell sortierten Federn eingesetzt werden. Per Hand wird in atemberaubender Geschwindigkeit ein Doppelgarn angebracht. Die zu einem runden Korb justierten Federn werden anschließend mit speziellem Klebstoff fixiert. Alle Bälle werden per Hand und per Maschine auf ihre Geschwindigkeit und Flugverhalten geprüft, indexiert und danach in verschiedene Kategorien unterteilt. At first the feathers get washed and dried. Afterwards they have to be sorted. This procedure is carried out by innovative electronic scan and sorting machines which select and survey each feather. After cutting the feathers they will be checked by a special admeasurement. Original Portuguese cork is then provided with a PU-coating. For fixing the feathers there will be 16 holes, drilled into the cork, where the feathers will be inserted. Additionally there will be a double-yarn attached manually, which grants even more hold. The feathers, which build a small basket, will be fixed with special glue. Every shuttle will be tested manually and by machine to check its speed and its flight characteristics. After that the shuttles will be classified into different categories.
