White Funeral symbolize the crucial moment of change in life - the burial of the old life. The piece is the process of the “white funeral� in the course over five minutes. The work begins with mysterious, dark atmosphere. The ideas then develop, keeping their properties while the environment surrounding them becomes more complicated. In the closing section, the ideas return in the low brass, fortissimo, surrounded by a very busy tutti orchestra in an almost triumphant way. At the very moment, we think that we have finally resurrected, exultantly.
