CHURCH + SOCIAL HELP CENTER This project comes out with the intention to put in touch ,two elements, the place and the comunity. The social elements is an unavoidable discussion matter that came along with the program of the building, the church as a comunity with all its aspects and the social help center as home or shelter for peoples which dont have any or is suffering social exclusion. Both programs should be able to work together when its necessary but they also keep their independency from each other. The other big topic, in my opinion, is the local sense. In a city with such a big personality like Porto, it was necesary to respect the place, its topography, the views to the Duero river, the noises, the colors of the granite and all of this is part of the project. This project is an experiment of how two powerfull topics like the place and its people, can combine and this is a result of this combination. In an attempent of develop the community and make of this place and the city a better place for its inhabitants. ØRESTAD Ørestad is one of the new areas of develoopment of Copenhagen, it is located in the south area of the city in very open and local landscape. This site present some caracteristic which at the same time give the area it’s personality, but if not addressed correctly it becomes a problematic hard to solve.
12
Due to area topography which is very large and flat there is a lack of human space. This project tries to correct this by creating spaces that are comfortable and people can feel attracted to stay there, instead of just passing by. This main concept also helps to prevent from the cold winds of Denmark, by creating human scale places we can also stop the strong winds. This is the main strategy of creating spaces and an architecture, create and enhance of public space that have a human scale and which keeps a social and sustainable design.

CORK SYSTEM The main objective of this interiorism work was to create a furniture in order to separe the working space from the lunch area, letting the light pass through.
14
This furniture had also to respect the sustainable spirit of the office and become a reminder and a presentation card to the office visitors. The shelve is done by OSB wood planks and cork obtained from wine bottles. The joints are designed to minimize the use of steel elements, to let the shelve adapt and evolve to future needs that the office may have.

GREEN SPACE This interiorism project is born with two main core goals, to educate and to promote the usage of sustainable materials in furniture elements. By realizing small works in several spaces along the kindergarden we tried to educate and show childrend how nature works and involve the children in the growing and taking care of the plants. Also the realization of this intervention is like a show room to every visitor of the kindergarden. Showing that a nice and reponsible design can be done, that sustainable does not mean not a nice design.

SHERATON PHU QUOC This project is design to build a resort in an Island of Vietnam, is a project that shows that another way of building this typology of project is possible, a way more connected with the nature of site, with the personality and characteristic of the place. The project tries to reduce to the minimum the area that will be transformed during the constrution phase, reducing the visual impact of the building. And by keeping as much as possible the already existing nature.
16
this Strategy is enhance by some other strategies like the usage of local materials, like the sandstone, the protection and usage of already existing topography and also by introducing the vegetation and landscape as one more element of the design.

DIAMOND LOTUS 18
This project is born due to the client demand of remake the facade of an already designed and approved project, with out changing the volumetry and introducing an horizontal element that joins all of the buildings. The facade is proyected like a continuos plant pot that changes its height in order to adapt to the interior space, regulating the needs of views, privacy and light that each space have. And by giving a conection to nature, to both to the inside space to the street view. Also the conection between the three buildings is solved by the design of a horizontal garden in the rooftop, this garden will have all the social areas and activities of the comunity. GREEN LADDER The pavilion is designed for the Fugitive Structures exhibition and comisioned byt the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation, is a structure made out of the repetition of a single piece, a traditional vietnamese bamboo ladder. The program asked that this pavilion was instaled in 2 diferent sites, so it was necesary to develop a structure that was able to be easy dismanteled and build again with out creating any problems. this was achived by reducing the metalic unions and using traditional joints made out of rope and bamboo nails.
22
The repetition of a single element, like a vietnamese bamboo ladder, creats a porouse structure of diferent heights and protected only by acrilic panels on the top of the structure, pannels that let the light come through creating shadows an letting the spectator view the sky through the structure. Also plant pots made out of bamboo and wood, with diferent kind of plants, are introduced inside the structure creating a vertical garden. This pavilion is a call to reintroduce nature in the architectural design of the cities.
