DEETS The DARK PROPHET franchise has received a distribution and marketing commitment from Sony Playstation VR for the Virtual Reality version of the cult-hit digital series. The Virtual Reality series is based on the franchise narrative and inspired by the comic book artwork. The VR series will be distributed in 2016 during the inaugural launch period of the Playstation VR. Digital-Reign has partnered with the award-winning VR production company, Emblematic Group to bring the DARK PROPHET VR series to life. Emblematic Group is co-founded by Nonny de la Peña, a pioneer in virtual reality. Awardwinning VR company, eStudioFutures, is also developing the VR series.
IMMERSION To align with the DARK PROPHET narrative direction, this experience will include light gamification such as (but not limited to) eye-tracking objects that drive deeper immersion into the story, gaze as input, clicks to teleport, interaction with the scene to unlock content, and the use of haptic feedback.

R V c i t a m e n i why c IMMERSIVE STORYTELLING Truth be told, the objective is to create the greatest cinematic narrative experience ever made. While there are opportunities to develop a more interactive approach for the DARK PROPHET universe when the Sony Playstation VR launches in Q4, there will also be a gluttony of VR games. But, the list of premium VR cinematic event movies will be short. Therefore, instead of competing with Assassin’s Creed, the DARK PROPHET VR series will compete in a space where it will triumph over the competition. The series cinematic production value juxtaposed the impact of the immersive narrative storytelling, which will unfold over serialized episodes, will set the bar.

These set pieces will intertwine with the character story. Therefore, each set piece will move the narrative forward, taking the audience to an epic climax, which will exhilarate the viewer on two levels: • •

OBJECTIVE Our desire is that the DARK PROPHET VR series be the first Virtual Reality 3D adventure show that is narrative, immersive and interactive for the Sony PlayStation VR.
EXPERIENCE Presence is key in VR. When a VR experience is designed with the user in mind from inception, the virtual world looks and feels ‘real’ for the audience member. The goal is to incorporate ‘real’ presence into the narrative. As a result, the series will be a fun and engaging action-packed first-person adventure.
MOVES As an input device, we naturally plan to use Sony PlayStation moves. The interactions will be organic to the environment, characters and story as well as natural in physical ways.
