Celebrate with us at Grand Park for a Grand Arts Festival that all arts enthusiasts plan to attend! For a full day and evening, thousands of LAUSD’s highly talented youth will be performing as instrumental musicians, vocalists, dancers, and stage performers on multiple stages. But, that’s not all! Come and watch cutting edge student films in the film venue or take a stroll through the dazzling visual arts gallery. Yet, there’s more! Joining LAUSD students will be scores of community arts partner organizations along with award-winning professional performers who be sure to rock downtown like never before with a culminating evening performance! LAUSD will also highlight its partnerships with top entertainment studios who will bring their artists to interact with festival goers, educate on what it takes to have a career in the industry, and select a diversity of creative culinary food trucks ready to feed your artistic energy! With this second Let’s Celebrate! Arts Festival, LAUSD continues to gain national recognition for its achievements in the arts. About LAUSD: Second largest in the nation, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) enrolls nearly 650,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade, at over 900 schools, and 187 public charter schools that offer a variety of specialized and comprehensive educational programs. The boundaries spread over 720 square miles in six local districts that include the metropolitan city of Los Angeles as well as all or parts of 31 smaller municipalities and several unincorporated sections of Southern California. About the Arts Education Branch: Part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Arts Education Branch partners with local and national arts, entertainment and philanthropic communities to collaboratively support the growth of a robust arts culture. Nearly 650,000 K-12 students receive a comprehensive and challenging visual and performing arts curriculum. The Arts Education Branch sponsors school, family, and community artsrelated programs and staff professional development for cutting-edge arts education design and implementation.
